KneeTheCap: But they still sell Witcher 2, which has -animated- sex scenes...
Hmm, maybe Seduce Me has male nudity? That's something what freaks out even a majority of Europe (absurdly, again).

keeveek: I think results are "falsified" mostly because usually a mother that plays mahjongg twice a month on her phone is counted as a gamer too.
I wouldn't be too sure about that, videogames have been around for a while now. My friends and me all play videogames and we're in our early to mid-thirties. And we're not even "first generation gamers", more like second generation (having started in the late 80s/early 90s). True "oldschool" gamers are actually in their forties now, we've grown old with our hobby.

All gaming communities I'm active in usually have an average age of at least 25+ despite not being focused on retro gaming.

Hm, I remember the Witcher games to be more of the "nipplelicious" than of the "boneriffic" variety...

I wouldn't mind some well-produced pornographic games, provided they weren't made in Japan.

It does? Where?
Not surprised Valve don't want X games on their store. I wouldn't want any such game either having a young niece at home twice a week, what with homosexual behaviors and pornography, but that's just me. Anyways, interested folks can still purchase a copy from the game site, so fair enough.
Strange. I saw the title of this topic and immediately thought: Dang! GOG refused to release "Biing!"

Until now I hadn't even realised that I want GOG to release Biing!. It's not going to happen anyway as it is a relatively unknown German game, but http://www.vesalia.de/d_biing.htm] yeah
http://www.vesalia.de/d_biing.htm][/url], teenage me enjoyed it a lot.

But it doesn't show penetration, and it's not a game based entirely around being a videogame porno. You're basicaly equating the Terminator, because it has a sex scene, with Debbie Does Dallas.

You could just refrain from playing it while your niece is there?

Yeah, I'm watching penises all day long.

It was my guess why games like Witcher made it and Seduce Me couldn't. I have read articles about the incident, not viewed the game itself, so I don't know.

gameon: An easier way to get around it would be to have an 18+ section.
They already have this, that's what that stupid age gate is for M rated games. It screams "we simply do not give a fuck". So, why give a fuck about this? Well, I don't have any pleasant answers on that one.

It has no hardcore content. No visible labia or erect penis and no visible penetration. Also WItcher 2 features light sexual content but unlike that game it isn't the core element of the game.
It's hardcore pornography. Why is it wrong of Valve to exclude that from their store? I'm not a prude or anything, but it just seems kinda inappropriate.

Violent games get lumped there. That's a good thing, isn't it? Hypothetically puts them in the same shelf as erotic games.
