aluinie: aye i agree we need some mods. Wasnt going tto reply to this but cant keep silent much longer with this twat putting in stupid threads on a daily basis.
My only advice to the original poster is if you love the films so much go watch them and stop bugging the hell out of us. This is Good Old Games not We love starwars.com

You guys realize that he's making a CELERBRATION TOPIC out of one of THE WORST SEQUELS EVER?
Methinks this guy has had YEARS OF EXPERIENCE trolling. Nothing you say will stop him.
I Can understand spamming, but why the fuck brig out this Sesame Street movie disaster out of hell hole it should stay for ever.
Ezri u make me want to swear in Polish.

That's the point... This topic is the definition of 'flame bait'. This guy is a professional troll.

Given that I think he's made a grand total of 2 posts without links and almost all linked posts being for questionable things, I'd agree.

Firstly, mods. I think that moderators are one of those people we all secretly want to be, and that we should only have maybe one or two (and maybe have a line of succession starting from his firstborn). Community moderation is useless if more and more of these... "people" show up.
Secondly, this troll is a fraud. NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY AT ALL likes the prequel trilogies. That is a fucking lie, and if anyone says they liked them, they are either lying, or they are alien imposters. Or Cylons.
We went through this in another thread, I think that in spite of the large number of problems they had, mostly involving needing an objective editor for both script and footage and needing someone to randomly smack george just to keep him on his toes, the films were pretty damn good.
In fact, I'm going to watch the right now out of spite. Also because I LIKE THEM

We all knew you were a cyborg anyway.

You mean, in spite of EVERYTHING?

It wouldn't make any difference. Locked or deleted, this twat can't take a hint, he'd just keep making new ones. He doesn't even care if people answer or not, he's happy just by trolling about.
It would be a very good start in discouraging people from replying and in preventing an overflow of spam being on the front page (after all locked topics will soon drop off the front page). But yes, on it's own it wouldn't be enough. What we need as well, sadly, is some form of post limits x topics per day dependent on amount of rep. (when negative) and age of account (when rep. is positive).

Well, the notion that any teen can stroll in here, make a couple of morronic posts and force a change on the boards it's really hard for me to stomach.
In little over one year we had a single twat that couldn't take a hint. I'd prefer that gog's staff would deal with that twat and be done it with (even if it warrants a temp ban or if even after that he still doesn't take a hint, a permanent one), than allowing him to take credit for changing the way things work around here.
But i can see how others may feel different.
Edit: That idea of a limit on the daily posts sounds good.

I remember the first or second time we had a teenage jerk here. And I only saw that a few weeks ago, because I was on holiday (read: away from the Internet), so I couldn't reply.

He had a bumpy start that's all, but he settled in real quick and turned out to be an ok kid.

Well, we still had a jerk before. So there. But he's OK now. OK apart from his creepy pedophile references. Even if they weren't Family Guy-related.

Yep, that's what i'm saying. They either get assimilated into the collective gog hive or leave. This Ezri chap turned out to be the first real problematic one, and it would be a real disappointment to introduce changes on account of him.

Disappointment or not, the very sad fact is that these changes will almost certainly be needed in the future. So why not make them now before an even worse situation comes along?
