Coelocanth: The Fifth Element.
This.

And I also liked Speed Racer ...
Star Trek (2009). No questions, just get it.
as far as i know Red Cliff is sometime during the RoTK story, (though i know most of the story from the Dynasty Warriors games lol) its the Battle of Chi Bi isnt it

serpantino: LOL I actually have that, just didn't think of classing it as epic. It is one hell of a stunner though and..... *looks around* I like it too.

Speed Racer is legit. One of my favorite blurays.

If you're looking for epic and Asian Cinema, check out the Ran bluray. It's an amazing looking film with some epic battle sequences. Seven Samurai, another Kurosawa, is also a good bet if you're into those kinds of films, although I haven't seen the Bluray transfer of that film but it's Criterion so it should be top notch.
Ichi the Killer. >:)
Hero.

Np, I got to meet the main actor at anime con last year. It was so awesome.

It's one of the few war movies that left me in awe. Not even Saving Private Ryan can do that to me.

Got the special edition on DVD but the Bluray isn't out in the UK yet. One of my favourite films though.
I really reccomend "Leon"

Great movie and especially great on Blu-ray, I reccomend it to everyone, regardless of what movies you are into

I remember watching it years ago and just recently saw it again on Blu-ray, it's amazing

Yes. During when Cao Cao's military might was at its peak. Liu Bei had to ally with Sun Quan and with the 4 smartest minds in China then, Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, Pang Tong and Xu Shu together with both factions' valiant generals utterly destroyed Cao Cao's forces whom was eventually set free by Guan Yu.

The recent Red Cliff movie fails to stay in line with the real history or the novel itself and tells its own story. You're better of reading the books or watching the 100+ episode classic 1995 drama series that's spot on accurate for most parts:

You need some Cloverfield, indeed....
How did so many people get away with admitting they like Speed Racer?

...I like it too. And agreed on the Star Trek Blu-ray, definitely something to check out.
i'd also say check out the Cine Asia website and look at the upcoming release 71 Into The Fire, that looks pretty damn epic
