Tephirax: I was reading a massive interview with Ragnar Tornquist over on Rock Paper Shotgun a couple of weeks back about The Longest Journey and Dreamfall. Really got me interested in playing them.
Teph

Do you have a link about it ? It would be much appreciated! :3
You should Teph. the longest journey is one of the best adventure games ever. dreamfall is great also but in its own way. it isn't really a game.
KOTOR2: I felt cheated, betrayed by fictional character. She had great impact on me.
Vampire: bloodlines: Death of my slave was painful. The slaughter of my enemies which followed was not satisfying.
Fallout2: The thrill, anticipation before you arrive on oil rig. Very powerful.
Half-Life2: I panicked. First time in video game I completely panicked and over stupid thing. Level: Highway. I stopped a car in the building. Recon: no enemies. I found a crossbow for the first time there. I face the wall analyzing how it looks like (the crossbow) I hear a sound, I turn only to face poison zombie. Who does not attack. I panic, use scroll wheel to go through every single weapon only to choose rocket launcher. Then I shot myself in the foot with it. Great memory.
Unreal II had, (for me) quite an emotional ending. The way your crew mates sacrificed themselves.
I was hoping for a sequel in which they weren't dead after all, bur that never came. (Actually I wonder if that will work on my Vista Gaming PC?)
Thought the ending to Mass Effect was very good too. Hope there will be another.
Unreal II made me emotional because it was over so soon :-|
Quest for Glory V: "Man, this was probably the last official QFG game ever" :'(

Not just one, but three links:

I think that's in the right order for the three parts of the interview. Caution: Spoilers do exist in there if you haven't played either game.

Too many times to count, but playing Tribes 2 and grabbing the flag and trying to get to safety with 20+ people chasing you on foot, in the air (jet packs), in ground tanks, Shrikes (like fighters).
These moments have literally had my heart pounding so I could feel it in my chest.
There are few games like Tribes 2 and fewer that require well executed teamwork to win.
If you never played it, you should get it and try it out. Still plays great on XP (I think Vista as well). I still play about once a week (Friday nights when lots of people still show up).
Remarkable game with great game play.
Just look for one of the few servers left for this great game. Elite Warriors Online is a great server with great people.
Jedi Knight - after falling to the dark side (much to my shock).
Omikron:Nomad Soul - Right at the start when you walk out of the alley-way into a living breathing 3d city complete with David Bowie track was probably the biggest "wow factor" for me so far ... :)
Thanks Tephirax :)
Apparently none of you have played Beyond good and Evil

"The Lighthouse Scene Monologue"

This one is really great, and I had forgot it in my first list.
Most emotional would be playing Wolfenstein:ET / ET:QuakeWars with my clanmates. Especially some close games in official cups. Anger, ecstasy, sadness, tension etc. None single player game equalize this. The most woderfull moments in my gaming life

That was pretty powerful.
Privateer: it made me many times* cry because it crashed everytime on the same spot. But there was no workaround for it.(At least on my P90.)
*And i was just stupid because i tried it at least 100 times again with no luck. *g*
Q3A: Back then every time i played on lans with my mates on a TDM Tourney i got sweaty(?) hands and a too high pulse.
