That's so sad. A little bit of my childhood just died with her. When I was little I used to watch the old Sarah Jane Smith era episodes of Doctor Who on PBS with my dad, who also lost a battle with cancer a couple years ago.

Used to be huge Dr. Who fan. Always melancholy when one of the program's former stars passes on, whether a title role or companion.

Time Lords may be immortal, but the actors playing them are not, as we are so often reminded.

I was really disappointed to hear of her passing. I texted a friend, who is also a Doctor Who fan, and her response was, "GODDAMMIT!"

I wonder if there will be some sort of "In Memory" put in front of the new season's premier?

Oh wow, that's sad. I just watched the School Reunion episode with Dr. Who and Sarah Jane (and K-9) the other day. =(
