Neuromancer1: Well I keep updating my yahoo page and yea romney is winning...well we are screwed...
Well, that's to be expected, the GOP specializes in small states and so those projections come out first. The larger states that the President has essentially in his pocket take longer to count.

Romney has almost run out of states that were guaranteed to be in his column, but I'm not seeing much other than a possible Virginia win that Nate Silver hadn't previous predicted he'd win. Ohio appears to be solidly in the President's column and the President is effectively guaranteed the West Coast and Nevada.

On a positive note, It's kind of flattering that the partisanship of American politics transcends vast oceans. :)

There's always a slight "presidency of the world" aspect to it, rendered a bit weird by the fact that only a small portion of the planet votes for him.
LOL

I still remember the early days of GOG when his avatar reflected it. :)

Edit: At least I think it used to reflect stateside - I am pretty buzzed though :P

My drinking game is if Romney wins, I take a shot of whiskey and play Russian roulette.
I wonder if I'd prefer Obama to win with a majority of electoral votes or to lose with a majority of population vote.

I really don't like the US election system very much.
56. Someone bitches about the U.S. election system .

Verily.

Things are definitely not looking good for Romney. He needs to turn more than WI and VA if he wants to win. Especially if FL goes blue like it's looking like.

Romney can count on losing CA, OR, WA and HI. He might win CO, but not likely. It was telling that he was still campaigning today, rather than wrapping up the day before.

It's a system that gave us 8 years of GWB, so I'm not terribly fond of it myself. My home state of WA receives basically no attention because it pretty much always goes Democrat.

LOL, this is a thread about the US Presidential election, if people don't care, why are they in here?
