stonebro: Mourinho up next in the grinder?

Nah. He is too in love with the Premier League, he learned how to wind the English press up and he likes it. Mourinho will either be the next Liverpool Manager or if SAF decideds to retire he will be his successor at Man U. SAF even said Mourinho is his preferred choice.
Okay, well done stonebro. You've missed my point entirely, that is to say that Barcelona still spend *lots* of money on players. Maybe not as much as Real but then they are... unique aren't they? Compared to a lot of other clubs though, Barcelona have some serious financial clout.

Yes they do, but Reals case is just perverse. Barcelona did spend 40 million on Zlatan, in my opinion way too much on a player who has yet to justify the pricetag (if you had seen some of the misses he's had this season), but at least it was within budget and the club could afford it. But then Real goes and spends 80 million on Ronaldo. Where did those money come from? Oh, the new president magically conjured them up. Real certainly didn't have them in their bank accounts before he showed up.
Im gonna pwn some TF2 noobs to clear my head. You can find me on the GTFOGaming servers.

Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are clubs that can spend above their means. Real take that to a whole new level. Real can spend anything they like to get what ever player they like and spent €240 million last year on players and their contracts. Ibrahimovic actually earns more at Real NOT PLAYING than he would playing at any other club on Earth. Manchester City are pretty bad but they need to spend a fukton more money to equal Real.
Lyon is going to win the champion's league. Period.

Cambrey: Lyon is going to win the champion's league. Period.

It's a year of upsets so I wouldn't bet against it. Just like I wouldn't bet against Fulham winning the Europa Cup.
I was king of joking. Lyon is my hometown so that would make me very happy. But let's face it, they never won the champion's league while they had the big potential to win it a couple times. That would be ironic If they do it this year.

Lyon have as much chance as anyone else. Don't talk to me about potential, Fulham were outsiders by the experts and look at them now. Juventus, Wolfsburg, and Basle scalped. Hamburg must be in tears right now.

I think they're chance is with Inter edging out Barcelona in the semis. Which may just happen given the tactical clout that is Mourinho. They beat Chelsea, after all.
Bayern in the semis will probably be tough too. I'd love to see Bayern lose that though, they've had nothing but luck beating two of my favorite teams (Fiorentina and Man Utd).
I doubt Lyon could beat Barcelona in a final, on a spanish venue.
Bayern is scary this season. Physically speaking, Lyon doesn't stand a chance, but since we are talking about football, anything can happen. I'm happy, in a way, that Lyon will play Bayern, instead of MU in the semi-finals. As a supporter of MU I would prefer Lyon-MU in a final.
I think Lyon stand a good chance against Bayern, or atleast a better one had they come up against Man-U.
So, good luck to them! I'll be rooting for Lyon to go all the way, very nice to see a lower profile team in the final stages for a change.
So I'm not that big of a football fan (only for the World Cup really) but know plenty of people who are. I was on the shopping mall with my wife today while she was looking for shoes and the game had already started while we were on a store and she says to me: "Look around. You notice something out of the ordinary?"
I take a look around and can't notice what she does. She then says to me "All the shoppers are women". She was right. I was the only male customer on a large section of the store and it wasn't even a women clothes only store... but the guys were seriously absent. Some started popping up later but for a while I felt like "Should I even be here? Do I still have my testicles?"
That's funny El_Caz. That reminds me when I was in Newcastle (England), saturday afternoon, downtown was completely empty (like a ghost town on a movie). My friend and I were literally alone. We decided to go in a pub and enjoy a couple beers. The pub was empty. What the heck is going on here ? After a few minutes, there was a big commotion upstairs that explained the emptiness : Newcastle was playing that day and just scored a goal.
