I always love watching Barca beat Real. They really are polar opposites of how to run a football club. Barca have a policy of home grown talent and a decent manager in Pep. Real are all about buying the galactico's and sacking managers faster than you can sneeze.

I am going to stick my neck out and say at 2 - 0 it's game over, Madrid seem to be offering very little, and the stadium is quiet.

He's been at Barca for most of his life which is more than can be said for Ronaldo, Kaka and Benzema.

Yes, sad to see that the latter is the way my beloved Man City seem to be going... (although not quite as extravagantly off the rails as real.)

Every team needs to bring in talent. It's Real that take it to the extreme by buying an entire team. What did they spend last Summer? Oh yes €240 million.

And Barca spent £40 million on Ibrahimovic, hardly peanuts.

€40 million is peanuts compared to the government funded Real. €40 million is a realistic amount for any top side to pay each summer to remain competitive. €40 million is pretty much what is given just for TV rights.

Don't talk rubbish, 40 million euros is an extrodinary amount for any club to pay for a player. I'm not defending Real either, by the way.
The scandals involving governmental funding and property evaluations along with backroom wheeling and dealing are fairly well recognised but portraying Barcelona as some hard up team compromising of local heroes is also very wide of the mark.

I'm not talking rubbish. The average income from Sky TV to Premiership clubs is €32 Million each year, in Spain it's higher. That's basically €32 million that can be wasted by a manager unless a club is living above it's means (Hull City) or has crippling debts (Fulham). Although thankfully Fulham's debts are owed to the Chairman so my club won't be going under any time soon.
All clubs are dirty but Real are the only club that make no attempt to hide it. Just look at their disgraceful persuit of Christiano Ronaldo. Oh Real are €500 Million in debt? No problem at all the banks will be pressured by the Spanish government to extend and restructure those loans. Look at Manchester United, the Glazers have heaped almost a Billion POUNDS of debt on that club and if they ever decide to default on just one loan repayment then United are F C U K E D.

It's funny how Franco's devious plan worked so *fantastically* that it still effects people emotionally to this day. :P
EDIT:- Ok, I've done some more digging about. Apologies Delixe you were correct and I was wrong. I still don't buy the image of Barcelona somehow being saints though, UNICEF logo or not! :)

Valdes, Messi (he came to Barcelona at the age of 16 ... if it wasn't 15), Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro, Puyol, Busquets all played today and are all products of Barcelona's academy system. For Real, you had Raul, Ramos, Guti, and Casillas. Two of which were subs.
The 40 million (+ Eto'o, as a matter of fact) Barcelona paid for Zlatan pales VERY MUCH FUCKING FAST compared to the 100+ million Real spent on Ronaldo, Benzema, and Kaka. Zlatan didn't even play today, so I guess that shows how well that investment has played out on the field for Real. When measured up against the absolutely insane amount of money spent, I call it a total fucking fiasco.
