Be interesting to find out more about the expansions and if we have to pay for them like spellforce 2 or if they get included in the original games.

park_84: RCT3 was released in 2004. That's quite old, I think.

spinefarm: 2006 stated on 3 digital sellers so far :)
2006 must be the release date of the platinum version, and 2004 the standard game without the expansions.
See? Everyone is right (probably)!

And this is the Platinum so it counts as 2006...so not that old :D

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 was released in 2004. The expansions came out in 2005. And then they were finally bundled with the main game in 2006.

So if you released a game in 2000, made an expansion for it in 2010 and bundled the two, the game is released in 2010? ;)

The bundled product that you can buy here is released 2006 so yes 2006 count as a release date. What is that hard to understand?
sigh

That tweet is hinting GOG are gonna deliver some sweet, sweet expansion love.

yes!!!!!!.. or Not!
Well, there's also news from Jeff Skalski saying that he's working with GOG on some Ultima stuff. What this means exactly, remains to be seen, but seeing how Ultima 9 is probably already slated for release GOG, I'm guessing he has something else in mind. Let's wait and see.
Isn't this the same guy who has been snapping at EA's ankles for a while now about GOG EA expansions?

Could be good. But keep in mind that while GOG's release schedule seems to have improved lately it may be a while before we see these.

That's 6 years old and before the change would have been subject to GOG's two price points. So while 'old' is a somewhat subjective term, it's clear where GOG would have stood on the matter this time last year compared to where they stand now.

They have said all along that they didn't intend to maintain those price points indefinitely. But to get as many games at those prices as they could before expanding the possibilities.

That said what they now need are some lower price points like $3.

Didn't you hear they will ban weed in Netherlands... mass suicides are coming soon :D Why the hell no one goes to Steam forums and cry like a little girl that they sell older games on 20 euro price points?

Well there's that and Heroes of Might and Magic V, along with Assassin's Creed which is 2007 and therefore not exactly new. Plus I think that it's more down to these games being a sign of where things might be heading. What if System Shock 2 was released at a higher price? Or Bloodlines?
