What's "invite only" on Desura and how does it work?
The number of games in the catalog just went down by 1. Was some game just removed?

Zeus: Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics are going to be removed from GOG. Get 'em while they last.

jamyskis: In that connection, Arx Fatalis may also be doing a disappearing act.
Really? That one wasn't on my radar - what's the story there?
Personally I think Riddick might be under threat as a movie licensed Atari game...

Arkane Studios is now owned by Bethesda. I'm not sure of the specifics, but I heard that there was some kind of deal in place to allow the game to continue to be sold for a limited time. I expect the developers are collecting the proceeds for the game privately for the time being until ownership passes to Bethesda in full. That, or the distribution agreement with GOG is simply still in force.

Possibly, but Riddick is an interesting case in that the Riddick IP is not owned by a movie studio, but by Vin Diesel himself, who in turn also owns Tigon Studios. This (probably) makes it the first movie-licensed game whose rights are actually wholly held by the developer.

Back to the Future could be interesting in that regard though. I doubt that Telltale's licence is indefinite.

You're not missing much.

SWOS 96 may be at risk as well though if it's a licence-related thing.

SCPM: Looks like the Fallout games have already been pulled from sale from Desura, the publisher has changed from Interplay to Bethesda Softworks.

It's also been pulled from DotEmu.

VR Soccer is so unloved, the Bluetexts didn't even bother to post the usual 'removed from catalogue' thread in its forum.

Some of the blues weren't even aware that it was gone. I need a game removal notice for the GOGWiki damn it.

What kind of sorcery was that?

What don't I know?

If you're talking about VR Soccer '96/Actua Soccer, I've had the game for nigh-on 18 years, so yes, I do know.
