Because it's bullshit? I would have no problem paying a higher tax rate to help people in need. What I do have a problem with is self-righteous activists trying to force these issues onto the individual, when it's a social problem.

It's funny how these anti-EA threads often read out like EA is making their games by using child labour. I get it that people don't like it when their favourite game series goes down the crapper, that all fine and dandy to be upset about. But nothing really makes EA by any standard a worst company in US or anywhere else, especially when there's actual multinational candidates like Shell, which actually are responsible from not only destroying peoples health, but environment as well.
But then again, DRM clearly is a bigger evil here. Damn you DRM for destroying my family.

What you are missing is that people actually like their games, people don't like EA's public image. So yes, that's what they need to fix. (yes, yes, *you* don't like their games. I can assure you that in the bigger picture, nobody cares :-P)
