Well done, good for you EA, maybe you could focus now on...well...I dunno...making or publishing some good games now?

All of your new releases fucking sucked in 2013, you done so many things to piss gamers off in 2013 as well as winning the Golden poo from the consumerist poll, winning the "Worst Company in America" award for the second year in a row
So when was the last time Steam did anything for the none gaming community?

EA will also donate a portion of the proceeds made from August's Humble Origin Bundle to The Human Rights Campaign; yesterday we reported that $1.65 million has already been donated to the American Cancer Society.

What?

What?
they can not donate everything to HRC, and at the same time donate to other charities also.

So a portion goes to HRC, a portion goes to American Cancer Society, a portion goes to..... and so on.

What?
I think you are missing the point of what I'm trying to say here

I don't care what EA does, who it "Supports", who it gives money to or any of that nonsense

what I care about with a publisher is with it publishing good games, EA has not been doing that

Instead it goes full retard mode, trying to make a good image for itself with "MUH HUMAN RIGHTS" and "MUH GAY AND LESBIAN RIGHTS"

Which they are welcome to do if they want but that does not change my opinion that they were a Bad publisher in 2013

I guarantee you that much more people care about their SimCity copy not working on release day much more than some donation for charity

The point you are making:

"And in this weeks news - EA announces a cure for cancer, a viable plan for world peace, and the second coming of Christ the redeemer, ushering in an era of peace and prosperity for all
RomanV - Dam you EA, it is just smoke and mirrors. EA is EEEEEVILLLZZZZZ!"

But still no good games

You do realize you're making yourself sound like a bigoted asshole who cares about nothing and noone but yourself, right?

Personally, I think it's great. The more companies support things like that, the better the world gets. It doesn't mean I'm any more likely to buy any EA games, but I'm glad they do stuff like that, even if it's only to boost their public image.

Doing good from selfish motives is still doing good. Just look at Humble Bundle. Make no mistake that it's a business, first and foremost. If they weren't in it for the money, they wouldn't be in it at all. And most of the people who buy Humble Bundles do it for the games, not the charities. However, the charities are an added bonus that makes people feel better about their purchases. And so, out of a lot of people acting in their own best interest, good things happen for everybody.

See, you got that wrong. You're the one going full retard mode. See how that works out?

I love how on the internet selling a game you don't enjoy makes a company worse than the one that takes your house away from you.

Because clearly EA has done more to ruin America than Bank of America, Lehman Brothers or Bear Sterns. And EA is clearly worse than companies who manufacture landmines.

I can't even begin to articulate how asinine this is. Yes, EA isn't exactly the poster child for being a consumer-friendly company. But you're bashing them for being LGTBQ friendly? That's the kind of ridiculous double-talk I'd expect from someone out of the Tea Party. Or someone who votes against rights for disabled people because of Satan and Abortion*.

*Yeah I know it's not entirely relevant, but I still think the comparison is apt.

Talk about First World Problems. I take it you haven't lost anyone close to cancer, have you? Because clearly you value your silly little copy of SimCity more than contributing to saving someone's life from cancer.

Fuck you.

Really? I think they aren't that bad. And donating money to a good cause is good. And Battlefield 4 is not really a bad game either.

Go to rehab Roman, you're drunk as usual.
