HONEST GUYS, WE SWEAR

Spinorial: Awww, that's adorable. They want people to pay their tax writeoffs, how humane. Not. Go to hell, EA.
avatar
Fenixp: Yeah, assholes. And look at Humble Indie guys, those bastards are even worse!
I never had any illusions about the nature of charity-supporting bundles. Still, they give me more choice where my money goes, and actually offer something valuable and worthwhile. Looking at the pictures, this DLC took about 1 man-hour to produce. More if done by a rookie intern. I literally see nothing but a tax deduction in this, sorry. The Origin bundle was a much better effort on their part.
The title mislead me, i thought they were euthanizing it.

Licurg: They want to fool us into believing they actually have a soul :P
You're obviously the bigger fool to assume anyone has a soul. :D (it's a joke, no offense to believers)
Something doesnt feel right....Ea,charity......

I think that this is a front for EA's next mind controlling game so that everyone buys it!

And yet it's going to raise far more money than EA... Well, not giving it to charity. But yeah, they should totally go to hell for all the ... Evil ... They were always doing ... Like torturing kittens I guess...

You didn't get it.

No.....
Altough bacon is pretty tasty

Navagon: I think that, if you've got the game or not, donating directly to the Red Cross would be the better option.
avatar
niniendowarrior: They are trying to reach a different demographic this way. I suppose not everyone who plays has ever bothered to donate to the Red Cross directly but may feel compelled to this way.
If you're generally pretty meh about charity then yes, this could be your chance to pat yourself on the back.
tax deduction...

darkplanetar: tax deduction...
It's a crime now?
Even better move for their public image would be to drop always-online, and DRM.

And while we are at it, releasing full Mass Effect trilogy (with all DLCs) on GOG.com, and other digital stores.

Ps. I am already paying very high income taxes here, large portion of which is going to helping the needy people all over the world, like in southern Europe. No need for me to add extra charity on top of that through my game purchases.

Dont have the game (given up with online drm thanks diablo 3) anyway it is a nice way of EA trying to help a charity but it would be better just given the money to red cross but still at least EA are trying to do something with their image which i think helped with the humble origin bundle.
