I was just wondering if you'd be able to get the old American McGee's Alice before the release of the sequel. I know the release is in couple of weeks but I'd still like to know if you have any plans for this.

(For digital retailers I prefer Steam and GOG over some random EA store.)
This question / problem has been solved by Miaghstirimage
GOG only very rarely announces titles before release, and then only has ever done so of their own accord (seemingly), never as a reply to a random question.

In short: It's futile to ask about what titles are about to come (unless it's already been told and you just cannot find the announcement).

We already knows the next three EA releases before the "summer break" so unless Alice is a "surprise" release this week or next week (which would be great but unlikely) it won't be released before the sequel/reboot ( even if it's part of EA 27th titles which we don't know).

Thing is - you can't really get A:MR on Steam and EA's version give you the original for free. Also - GOG's EA games for the near future have already been announced and there's going to be quite a gap between that and the next batch, so if you want to play both games in order and soon - just go for it. It's not a very elegant or DRMfree solution but there isn't a better one available :\.
EA's going to milk the Alice game all it can. The damn thing won't even show up on Steam - that's very bad, but they're going to take that risk.

This is going to backfire hard on 'em.
Let me just make this clear: Alice Madness Returns will force the EADM on us even in retail version?

Yep.

All current EADM games do that (well, Origin is replacing it, so effectively it's no different than Steam).

I notice, however, that games such as Sims Medieval DON'T have online activation. Probably because the parents of children that will be playing this game will be much more inclined to kick up a fuss than the average PC gamer.

Where's your source confirming it's required?

Ea's site says

Do I need Origin to play EA games on my PC?

Yes, you need Origin to play PC games you have purchased via Origin. In addition to enabling faster download of EA games, pre-loading, and game patch updates, Origin provides security for your downloadable games. Instead of inserting a disc in the drive, you simply login to Origin periodically to start your game. If you are already logged in to Origin, you won't be prompted to login before starting your game. As an added benefit, Origin's security enables you to install your game on up to three machines - so you can play at work and at home!

Alice 2 will be requiring EADM - this was printed on the back of the preorder boxes at my local GameStop.

And I very much doubt that EA will keep EADM and Origin running concurrently for long. I expect that Origin will eventually replace EADM.

Edit: My mistake - it IS replacing EADM.

That sucks for new users though I suppose it's still better than steam since you don't need to login to play. I have to have origin because of Mirror's Edge DLC so it doesn't affect me.

Did you see if it requires securom or such?

This is why the games request thread needs to be made a sticky...in bold letters.
Wow, only 75 bucks, how could i ever pass on such a bargain ? It's wonderfull that the price for me is only 25 bucks more than for the NA folks, i feel so loved.

Well

...you simply login to Origin periodically to start your game...
That was the case for the old "non-Pure-EADM" games using Securom, we don't know for sure how it will be for retail version using EADM/Origin, as far as we know they might have pull a Steam-like or even Battle.Net like DRM scheme.
Still not eager to get any competing client with Steam so I ended up buying the Xbox version. It seems that I'm getting both games this way too so I think it's better option, especially since I saved quite much money because of an Amazon discount ^.^

If I ever would prefer a PC version I might buy either one of them again trough Steam, if they eventually end up there that is.
