Elmofongo: For both Multiplayer and Campaign?
avatar
Neobr10: Yes, for both.

avatar
Elmofongo: Speaking of the Campaign is it a lot better than the last few Campagins from Battlefield I seen vids where the added tactics and bigger arenas sort fo like Halo.
avatar
Neobr10: No, it's not any better. If you go into BF4 for the campaign you'll be disappointed. There are no tactics involved, just the usual shoot everything that moves. It does have larger maps than BF3 did, though.
Well I am not too bothered by those and I was not expecting Ghost Recon style tactics. The First few missions of the game I seen in youtube look pretty good though. I cared for the characters I've seen.

In miscellaneous news, that may not have been Link at all.
It's been a pretty good day, lot better than I thought it would be. Hopefully I'll cope with X's release date... Between it and Witcher, though, I'm unsure I'll be doing anything like eating, sleeping, or school next year. Oh, and my 3DS library's just gonna get bigger... On a different note, anyone buy Enemy Front? I kinda wanna, but it's be for my Xbox because the PC version probably has DRM, being Namco-Bandai and all.

Anyone see Devil's Third? Looks good too.

Elmofongo: Are you not suffering from Carpal tunnel syndrome on your wrist thus preventing you from fully playing PC games?
I took three months off from using a mouse, then got a new desk, and it seems to be relatively okay now. We shall see.
Well, Nintendo's E3 announcements were excellent! Chock full of reveals and surprises PLUS more than half of the games they showed are coming out this year! They really learned a lot from the weak points of last year's E3 showing.

The new Legend of Zelda for Wii U was the announcement everyone was expecting, but that didn't make it any less surprising. The visual style is very striking and the fact that they are going back to the open world, go anywhere play style of the original NES game is very exciting. Definitely one of the highlights of the event.

Xenoblade Chronicles X was the announcement that I was hoping for, and it delivered. The gameplay that was shown later on Treehouse Live gave such a vast amount of information for a title that didn't even have a name prior to the event. My personal pick for best reveal at the event.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was unexpected, but completely in a good way. Not only does Toad finally get the spotlight, but he does so in a fun, colorful action-puzzle game. Assuming this game has the substance that it needs to last longer than a couple of days play, this one will be a very strong title for the console.

The biggest surprise was definitely Mario Maker. Being able to make and share custom Mario levels with such an easy-to-learn tool set is enough to sell this game. Of course, they take it one step further by allowing you to toggle between Super Mario Bros and New Super Mario Bros visual styles on the fly! While clearly Nintendo's answer to LittleBigPlanet, I don't think anyone will fault them with such a solid outlet for creativity on the Wii U.

The Wii U entry in the Star Fox series is showing great potential. Bayonetta 2 gets bonus points for including the original game. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse looks like a fun console follow-up to Kirby: Canvas Curse on the DS. Yoshi's Wooly World takes the visual style and unique gameplay of Kirby's Epic Warn to the next level. Hyrule Warriors is quickly proving to be much more than a cheap cash-in, and will definitely sate the appetite of both Zelda and Dynasty Warriors fans alike. The new Super Smash Bros adds Mii characters with three different play styles, the goddess Palutena and the dot-gobbling Pac-Man to its roster along with support for Nintendo's new NFC technology Amiibo. Pokemon Alpha Sapphire / Omega Ruby look to be shaping up as nice successors to X and Y. Level 5 RPG, Fantasy Life, will surely bring hours of entertainment to 3DS gamers. And, lastly, Splatoon looks to be adding some much needed creativity and originality to the far-too-stale for far-too-long 'shooter' genre.

Of the thirteen games mentioned above, seven of them are coming in the next six months! I am so glad to be dusting off my Wii U and, by the looks of it, keeping it dust-free for the next 18 months and beyond.

Elmofongo: All I keep ending up in is the Nintendo E3 event?

I have already watched yesterday. And I am still undecided until I play it first hand (and get a graphics card that can make my PC handel it)
Long life to Amiibo!!!!

Great! And there are even more demos by now (I think). My laptop can't handle it anyway, so I'm not in a hurry to buy it. Just making an exception for the Witcher, cuz I want to support these guys :D
There´s a surge of horror games it seems.

Definitely, Nintendo won E3 by a long shot. There are way too many good games coming out for the Wii U and the 3DS. The next months will certainly be busy for Nintendo platforms.

And none of them Fixed Camara, Tank Control, Old School Resident Evil -likes it seems :(

I'm at least interested in "The Order" and "Enemy Within" but have yet to see more gameplay about the order, one can never trust in staged demos.

I would definitely agree they did the best job at selling people inclined to get the system to go out and do it. I doubt anyone not already interested in Nintendo-style games will suddenly be interested, though. If we're talking swaying generic console gamers into getting a next-gen system to encompass the popular tastes of the day, I would say Sony is still winning that war.
Most of the excitement here was for Dragon Age Inquisition, Mass Effect 4, Sims 4, Dead Island 2, Civilization Beyond Earth, Borderlands the Presequel, Mirror's Edge 2, Pokemon Sapphire, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

Also Metal Gear Solid V, Kingdom Hearts 3, Persona 5, Uncharted 4 and Samurai Warriors 4, sadly we don't own the consoles needed for those.

...

So many sequels D:
