Question: regarding the lush forest biome, will the trees look like that in the final game? They look a bit too... squarish :P

What are the minimum requirements for the game? I looked on the Kickstarter page, but couldn't find where it says.

Also, a bit off-topic: Buy Sacrifice. It's one of the greatest games ever made, and one of the least-known as well...

Why the devil did it take 3 pages for you to finally post ITT? I didn't want to post "Sacrifice" on the thread title for fear of making it too obvious, but dude you sure took your time!

I may be losing my touch ? :/
Whew - totally fell behind on this forum because I was working on new models and such.

Lowyhong - The Forest Biome is likely to stay like that for a while, though I may look into rounding off some of those corners =p

Licurg - As for minimum specs, I'm still working on those - my dev computer is pretty beefy, though I have access to a computer running only an Intel HD 3000 series, and last I checked it was working on that (I'll need to do more checking as I add more models, etc.) - I recommend at least a couple GB of RAM, and a dedicated graphics card though (runs pretty smooth on an older Geforce 8800 GTS).

I'll definitely go grab Sacrifice :)

Exciting news everyone - I've got another Kickstarter update including "The Architect" command robot that will make the FPS aspect of Dysis more exciting (as it will be much more powerful than the other fodder you may throw at your enemy), plus deployable units (turrets, shields, traps, etc)! All the info is up on the Kickstarter page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/330858688/dysis

Thanks for your support!

All the best,
-Chris

Just saw the update. Looks sweet. Still, will not furiously fap until I see cockpits ;)

Btw grats on hitting 17k. Looks like 20k isn't out of reach.

I plan on getting those in by video time at the end of the week. Lots to do, but it's coming together nicely :)

Thank you! 20k is definitely looking doable - I just need to keep spreading the word and hoping others help to do so too!
Per request, I have the (very basic) cockpit in this gameplay vid:

As well as a new update to the Kickstarter (though that's mostly this video and a new naval unit stretch goal :)

Right now they turn (almost) on a dime, but the bigger robots will be slower (except perhaps the humanoid bots). Tanks and other heavy ones will be especially slow. Glad you like the vid! Still working on the whole cockpit, going to be adding in all the tactical info there soon (weapons, health, heading, etc.) - do you like the layout so far though?
The layout is great. Nice bevelling of the dashboard and its panels. I can't wait to see what it looks like when skinned.

All the best for the rest of the campaign!

Cool - thanks! Ya, I needed to get the RTS gui started/where it is now before I could go back and skin the cockpit. I'll have different cockpits for other vehicles too at some point, but I'm looking forward to getting one fully flushed out first :)
Looks promising. Backed!

FPS/RTS hybrid is sadly an underappreciated genre combination. Battlezone 1 (available here) and Sacrifice are both among my all time favorites and I'm always excited to see someone give something even remotely similar a shot.

Thanks a bunch! I won't let ya down :)
16 Hours left, and I've added in the T-Shirt designs! I've also added a bit of info on how names will be displayed in the game (via a survival mode - so all pledges will be put into a random pool and pulled and displayed as you play. The more you pledge, the bigger the opponent your name can appear on and the more chances your name has of appearing).

I'll be adding in PayPal buttons to the Dysis.net website soon, just want to test them out and make sure I have them working properly before I put them up!
