Hey Mr. GoG,

My name is treedoor, and I love Dungeon Siege. I recently bought an old copy that came to me in a poor state, and didn't install.

I know you are in the business of giving me a 100% working version of my favorite games with all the goodies attached to them. In return I give you my hard-earned American dollars (which are pretty worthless, sorry about my country's economy).

My birthday happens again this year on the 4th. I share it with the late Queen-of-Englands' mum, and Barack Obama, but don't take either of those facts the wrong way. I just want to play Dungeon Siege.

The only way for me to get a digital copy now is to purchase Dungeon Siege 3 which was basically Dungeon Siege after removing everything from it, putting in different gameplay, and pooping on my face. I don't want to even think of giving my money to the dev/publisher who released that monstrosity because they might actually think someone likes Dungeon Siege 3 if I was to do that.

That's why I've come to you, Sñr. GoG. Make my birthday special this year.

It's not available anywhere else? I know Steam has a Dungeon Siege complete pack which has: Dungeon Siege, Dungeon Siege II, Dungeon Siege III: Treasures of the Sun, Dungeon Siege III

I would assume other portals have it too somewhere?

Actually a good question, I have not seen DS or DS2 anywhere recently...

And about DS3...it's pretty fun when you're playing it alone. The multiplayer on the other hand.. I cannot comprehend how they managed to destroy that so effectively...

The set including DS, DS2 and DS3 will probably be on sale this Summer on Steam. You might want to wishlist it and look for a deal then if you don't mind waiting. If you get the set for cheap I guess you can ignore the 3rd game and its DLC.

I forget now but I think I picked up all three games in a recent sale for 10 bucks or so.

I've only played the demo for a couple hours but personally I found DS3 to be fun. This was after I switched to using a gamepad with it. It plays great with a pad being a console port. They did later add the ability to remap keys so maybe its possible to come up with a half-decent keyboard/mouse setup now. As long as you don't hate using a gamepad though, it really plays well with one as it was designed for it.

DS3 is yet another game that would have done well to launch with its own name. The expectation that it would be a Dungeon Siege game hurt it more than the quality of what they released itself. For those wanting mutliplayer it does suck how they screwed that up. I was only interested in single player myself.

Microsoft ows the IP i highly doubt it'll come here... though if it did DS1 and DS2 i would buy them no questions they were so fun and amazingly under appreciated for there time...

DS2 is a damn marathon though, as long as Titans Quest for playtime... and that sucker was weeks!

Actually, Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege 2 are now published by Square Enix.

The only thing Dungeon Siege 1 is good for is to play the total conversion Ultima V: Lazarus.

Yea, and this is not just a publishing deal. I read somewhere that SE bought out the IP. 2K Games, to be more precise.

I just hope some deal can be struck.

I'm not really the "pirate" type when it comes to gaming only when there are literally no alternatives, but GoG is here now, and with some work can be that alternative for every game I ever want to play.

Whoa whoa whoa. There is an alternative. I just bought the complete pack on Steam for ten bucks during a sale. Even if you don't like DS3 (which I think is decent but not on par with the originals) ten bucks for both games is pretty great.

The expansions would be nice though.

There is far worse bullshit on the market that is considered sacrosanct and while I don't have a 'very' high opinion of them I certainly concered them ok for a quick mousefest.

The 3rd one is shit though.
