To be fair, I doubt it is solely TB's credit. I think the outrage over the new Dungeon Keeper in general and the frequent mentions of the originals being on GOG from the people that have been making videos and writing articles that contributes to the sales spike we are seeing now. Of course, as already mentioned, there wouldn't have been a sales spike if it weren't for the fact that the DK games are excellent games with a unique premise that hold up surprisingly well to this very day.
The thing that pleasantly surprised me is the fact that people are buying the games at full price. Not that the price of $5.99 is in any way unreasonable for such classics, but in this age of rapid discounts and frequent sales, people tend to shun even such a price tag with a disheartening frequency. So it's very nice to see people just buying the games even at their current price and not just going "they look awesome, but I'll wait for a sale".

The first purchases I made on GOG were also at regular price. I mean, I registered to get a few specific games. I had no idea how common promos are and I certainly didn't know that I'd stay around for so long that it would make sense to wait until a certain game goes on sale. I think it's the same for all the people who just signed up on GOG because they wanted to grab DK.

No kidding. I'm kind of feeling the same effect.

Personally I've never managed to get the D3D versions to work on Win7x64.

I can't dislike that.
BTW, I never actually played DK. I've played 2 a lot, but only dibbled with the first a little bit. I'll have to get to it when I find some time.

I find it funny that when EA screws up like with Dungeon Keeper mobile and Sim City before it, they still end up making some money from so many people buying the good versions on GOG.
