Lasharus: There're two factions, heroes and keepers, if you're a keeper, you're building a base to defend, if you're a hero, you're building an army to... well, offend? :P
In my opinion the whole idea of DK as MMO is offending.

I'll admit that this summarises it pretty well, aye. :P

BRING ON DUNGEON KEEPER 3!
I also loved the DK games from the past - but Bullfrog is under the EA umbrella and they have been less than fruitful in releasing the old catalog of classics.
My Dungeon Keeper CD arrived with my first PC, which was around 1998. I was five then, so I didn't really understood the game, but I've found disc few days ago... and hate myself for waiting so long for that ;] That's one of the bast games I've ever played. Mr. Molyneux, I think Black & White is next in the line ;]
I want to see all of the populous games before we try for DK etc. Start small, if EA see a sudden flurry of interest for buying populous (oh yes there would be), we may break their iron contraryness.
Not to try and promote thread necromancy.

but the odds of seeing Dungeon keeper on this site are very low.

EA has only recently begun to start putting games on steam(Bulletstorm is an EA published game available for download on steam)

So it may be likely that eventually Dungeon keeper shows up on gog. but that depends, EA doesn't exactly like the idea of no DRM.

However, in terms of games that are LIKE dungeon keeper. Startopia is one I wouldn't expect any time soon. Since Startopia was published by Eidos, I assume Eidos owns the copyright too it, and Eidos is owned by Square Enix now, so that means that Square Enix probably owns the IP.

And I don't think Square Enix distributes anything digitally on steam or GOG.

so. sorry guys =(.

We can pray for DK3 though. Since that MMO is a hint the series is still alive. Just as long as they don't ruin it like they did with C/C

Edit:

Disregard this entire post. because apparantly Squeenix and EA are two out of 5 publishers that are being eyed by GOG.

and 3 out of those 5 publishers are said to be signed by the end of the summer.... so... I feel stupid. Yay.
