Out now on Steam. $10. No word on length yet, but I can report back.

I actually liked DNF and defended it a good bit when it came out, so I am looking forward to playing this. Any other fans?

I might get it eventually.

As I said on Twitter, I'll be buying it after the year end sale which should be starting on the 19th. Given the past few sales, it's pretty much a given that DNF will be 75% off, and who knows, this DLC may also get discounted.
I'll get it when it's free.
Was there deal that when you get collectors edition all dlc are free?
I ask because some site is seeling Balls of Steel for 29$ or something like that. I could be cheaper than buying game and then dlc

Balls of Steel only comes with a first access club dlc and nothing else beyond the physicall goodies.
I hadn't heard anything about free dlc for collector's edition purchasers (you did, however, get the first dlc for free if you signed up for the First Access Club before release).
And I'm looking forward to getting the dlc, but I can wait for it to go on sale (which it undoubtedly will). I did the same for the New Vegas dlc, no point in treating this any differently.
This means that I may not get DNF at all this year then. After playing the demo, I refuse to pay more than $5 for it, maybe $10 if it includes all DLC but if they keep releasing DLC at half the price of the base game then fuck it. I understand that they must be trying to compensate their losses but IMO only successful games should be able to get away with miking their fans and DNF doesn't qualify as one.

Oh stop being a cheapskate and spend some money already. I get being frugal but 5 bucks is all it's worth to you?

DNF? damn right, the demo was that bad. It's not about being a cheapskate, I pre-ordered the Mass Effect 2 DDE, SSF4:AE, and The Witcher 2 so if I think the game is worth it I will spend money.
DNF dropped to $20 not long after release. What does that tell you? Do you think most people will spend $10 on a piece of DLC for that kind of game? IMO spending money on DLC for a game like DNF sends the wrong message to the developer.

Game actually sold quite a lot, so I don't think they're "covering losses."

Oh, I thought you didn't spend much for any game....my mistake.

The demo was crap but the game was pretty good. It's only suffering in sales and dropped price because of everyone trashing it in reviews(many based on the demo btw).

Because of how long the game was kept in development hell and the blunders along the way, it's become the cool thing to hate this decade in gaming.

Why did it drop in price so quickly then? Also, even if it sold well, I doubt it would cover 12 years of development.

Also, let's not forget what I already mentioned, I waited for the dlc on New Vegas to go on sale before purchasing. Let's compare how the prices for the two games went, shall we?

New Vegas upon release was full-price, couple of months later it dropped to $20. Does that mean it's bad? I personally think it's better than Fallout 3, so it's not about how good or bad a game is.
DNF did basically the same thing, released at full-price only to drop to $20 shortly thereafter. (Meanwhile, games like CoD and Silent Hill Homecoming are still full-price after a couple of years even though they should have dropped in price by now.)

It dropped because of people who hated on it's development team for taking so long using that instead of an open mind to review the game. Some were upset at the long wait so they gave it worse reviews.....some joined in because they saw an opportunity to get fame and noteriety by joining the others dissing it. As it went on and people listened without thinking they had to lower the price to get people to tear away from their favorite reviewer's teat.
