I'm certainly fine with saying it plays like Half-Life 2 and Halo smashed together but with half the quality of either.

Edit: Good stuff. I like the idea of the game itself as a parody, though Broussard did say the weapon limit was chosen due to console gamepads. In any case the overall point of people taking the game too seriously is 100% spot-on.

Thanks, I looked at your review as well, and that's pretty much what I tell people if they ask me if it's good. Just that I enjoyed myself.

A combination of general hatred towards GameRager by certain members who always downvote him and the fact it's was the third topic on Duke. He used this topic mainly to just rehash the same old stuff already covered in other duke threads and as a way to troll post how it was coming out in x number of days every few hours it seemed like he did in another thread just to keep duke on the front page. He might as well have been an official member of the duke PR firm.

I made this thread to both keep my updated countdowns out of the other threads and for people to have one single thread to post in and chat about DNF.....not to do PR for DNF.

I troll gamerager all the time by + rep all of his comments and he seems be hated pretty bad because it wont go up.

I say or do things they don't like so they downrate me to teach me some sort of lesson like it's grade school or something. Then I downrate them back and they buzz like bees in a hive and sting my most visible threads into being hidden so they can have their fun with me. That's about the gist of it. This and my Harbinger thread were both normal rated for some time, then I downrated a troll in another thread and suddenly these two threads go hidden and the troll's posts go back to normal.

There's no need to lie about it now. Countdowns and constant hype about the release is the very defintion of PR work.

I was just happy about the release and wanted to share my excitement with all & see what others thought of it. Not trying to give the game PR, albeit not intentionally or directly.

But yeah, I heard one DLC will add some new guns, and another will add in more levels(15+) which could possibly extend the story past the ending, as well as a Kareoke machine.
