Pics of the comic book, artbook, postcard pack, papercraft, and sticker. I'd have put the game box as well but it's the same as the images online that everyone has seen already.

nice rager have fun lol
Haven't played the game yet but the artbook that comes with the Balls of Steel edition is really freakin' nice.

GameRager: It's a big box......I took pics from all four sides.
It's a thicker than a normal box but it's not a Witcher 2 or inFamous 2 "big" box. (But it's cheaper so you can really blame them too much for that)

The comic is especially fun it talks about the expansions(DC/Carribean/etc) in story form as Duke sits at a bar.

Not yet... wanted to play the game.

I played about an hour, through the mothership battle, and WOW am I insane for outright loving this game so far? It's super fun. Maybe the crap comes later. For now my only issue with it is some stutter when entering new areas.

You should read the comic as it's before the game. And it's awesome. Glad you're enjoying it though.

Metro09: Gameplay-wise: Crap. It's hilarious people are saying it is 'better on PC' because it is so painfully obvious that it is an FPS designed for consoles. I've already railed off the litany of reasons and for the life of me I can't figure out how users on the Good Old Games forums would love the shit that passes for games today. But, a lot of you do... go figure. Some of you wonder why they don't make them like they used to... it's because you shell out $50 for crap like this.
You have a complete inability to understand the difference between "I would prefer X but Y is still really fun" and "I only want X take your Y and shove it up your ass."

I, like many others, are the former.

I hardly think the difference in Duke's BoS package and The Witcher 2's CE package warranted a $30 difference. Especially considering the cheap plastic "lining" of the TW2 package cracks at the slightest amount of pressure.

$40 difference... $90 versus $130.

Right, sorry. For some reason I kept thinking "9 - 12" (extraneous "0"s removed) .

{EDIT}
Okay, so I just installed from a disc, and I still have to download another +400MB. The same thing happened with Brink, and as far as I know, there aren't any 0day patches. Is this some kinda anti-piracy measure? "Yeah, you bought the house, but you have to wait at the front door for us to deliver the keys to get in".

Looks like I won't be playing 'till tomorrow. Fucking HughesNet.

I'm defragging my HDD at the moment so I can chime in.

I started playing last night right after it unlocked. It has a few rough edges that should be patched to fix. I'm having a bit of a tough time with the controls as I'm not used to the options they're giving for the aiming reticle. And it takes a long time trying to load.

That being said, the game is awesome, It's far, far better than what I was expecting. Sure it kind of sucks that they had to limit the path, but given the amount of interactivity that is going on in various places, they could have kept working on it for years from now. Imagine an FO or FO:NV sized world with that level of interactivity, it would have taken a pretty amazingly huge development staff to finish it, let alone perfect it.

The reviews were definitely unfairly harsh. And I can definitely see this game ending up here in a few years. I'm just glad I didn't let the trolls and haters convince me to ask Valve to cancel my preorder.

In general my complaints are pretty minor and I have yet to encounter anything that can't be fixed with a patch. Most of the problems are really only problems if you've got a stick up your butt or are looking to hate the game.

As surprising as it was to me, the game is definitely a lot better than the demo, but the demo definitely was accurate in terms of the humor aspect.

I guess certain folks around here are going to be eating crow. This isn't the greatest game ever, but it's hardly the shite mess that some folks around here wanted it to be. I don't know why they ditched the boot though.

Just played the cycloid stadium level and the penthouse...I must say it's been fun. The twins are funny(and kinda hot), the pool game while hard was fun to finally beat, and the game seems good so far.

!SPOILERS!
A few gripes: Some of the women at the front door outside the tv studio snapping pics don't move while the other women do.....they just stand frozen in place....also the mothership outside the penthouse shift a few pixels left/right as you look left and right out of the window.

Also when you smear poop on stuff and leave the room the poop disappears when you return...still fun though.

!END SPOILERS!

To speed up loading turn FXAA down to FSAA. This will also speed up the game in general a bit.

I'm still a little confused as to why people expected an "open-world" Duke. I mean, DN3D definitely didn't funnel you down a rail-shooter, but your path was pretty much linear. Not "a straight line", but "linear". As in "you could only go as far as the Red Door until you got the Red Keycard, and then the Yellow Card, etc". Even the first Far Cry offered only the illusion of an open world. You could only go so far towards the map border before the game sent an insta-kill "Sentry Chopper" your way. Multiple paths from "A to B", maybe, but not open world.

And Duke's "Duke". It's not like you can turn it into a Deus Ex type game where you can build your character into either a silent assassin or heavily armoured tanker or a "turns your bots and turrets against you" hacker. Speaking of, I'm hardly looking forward to the river of hate inevitably going to be undammed upon Human Revolution, starting with the "continuity" nit-pickers.

Yes.

Metro 2033 made you download more than a GB.
