I have actually replied to positive posts as well.....and it's more a chat thread with me than just a thread thread, so I respond more often as I like to talk with people.

It is......I just like discussing it more than others. You're free to debate me about anything you want, or reply to any post.

By chat thread with me I meant for me. As in it's for DNF discussion and me to chat with the posters who post here. I am lonely sometimes, you see. ;)

I was only suggesting that allowing several posts to be made before you respond might allow more info, good and bad, to be posted rather than just pages of rebuttals of negative posts and praise of positive posts.

I seriously might buy the game so I would like as much input from the GOG community as possible before plunking down $60.

Alot of good posts were posted on both sides though, regardless of my being here...and many are well written. Did you read back through them yet?

A famous PC game was made worse than the original, besides anything else, because they wanted this game as a console game; specifically, you may go find the comment from the developer that the two gun system was a limitation because of controllers.

I haven't been able to find anything yet --and someday I may actually look-- but this game has a serious made by committee feel to it. You know how that you can usually tell that a movie is going to be bad when you see the wall of text, that it took 12 writers, 4 directors, and 3 producers, that you've probably got a directionless husk on your hands, a project that lost any sense of accomplishing set goals besides "hurry up and get this damn thing done already." Feels like that, only aimed at drunk frat boys.

I don't know about other people, but what offends me about the Holson scene is not the sex nor the violence, but the implication that women (who are unsurprisingly blondes) can be so stupid and superficial to not even care or realize that they have been raped.

This kind of discourse is routinely used to minimize or dismiss real-life rape, and the game merely perpetuates it without further commentary.

How would you feel about a game that simply makes fun of the 9-11 victim's deaths?

Terms like "un-pc" and "overprotective" are merely strawmen in this context.

You're reading too much into it...also dumb blonde jokes shouldn't be offensive to anyone. Get this: Game rape isn't trying to promote & is in no way similar to real life rape. I see no one bitching about the killing of various aliens or even humans in games yet rape is a no-no. Just as games where you kill don't promote killing, games with rape in them don't promote rape. To think they do is a logical fallacy.

Also I have pics of the 9/11 attack with funny lines on them. Again I like dark humor sometimes and believe that joking about something doesn't mean you support or endorse it.

I agree and would like to hear more opinions from the community regardless of the perspective they post. I prefer negative and positive input before buying a game.
