Navagon: Is it just me or is Duke Nukem suddenly nowhere to be found on Steam's sales charts? Which is odd for a Steamworks game as every copy sold would affect that chart.

It was right up the top before the negative press started too.
It's the top seller when I look at it.

The top seller list must be different for each region I suppose, since I don't see DNF there either.
1. Terraria
2.Resident Evil 5
3. Witcher 2
4. CoD: Black Ops DLC
5: Portal 2
etc.

It'd be nice to know which countries Duke did better in....:\

Looking at the Steam home page now, connecting from Europe (Italy)... DNF is not in the top 20 best seller list.
Wow, this is so... BAD. It's like Daikatana 2, a total disaster.

The controls feel so bad, Duke moves too slow. From a gameplay standpoint it's really terrible. It's like a Call of Duty corridor shooter only that it fails on every level.
I could stand it if the humor was good, but no it feels so forced.

I know nothing would jusify 14 years, but it's a shame it turned out this way.

Maybe your expectations were too high? You can;t honestly say the whole game was bad....also stop parroting the old "feels like COD" line.

Speaking of expectations, what are yours then because you've hyped the crap out of the game. Massive hype and low expectations don't normally go hand in hand.

Why not, if it represents the worst trend in modern FPS games for me?
If I give the comparison people can identify what part of the gameplay/design I don't like. It's much better than just screaming how it sucks.

Bulletstorm had many of the same design choices, but was just fun to play.

edit: Oh, and I wan't expecting anything at all. I was just hoping for a fun oldschool shooter.

I actually have great hopes but average expectations. Either way i'll enjoy it not in comparison to Duke3d in terms of features and similarities, but how good it is in it's own right.

Yeah, like a couple of days ago. Then it dropped off into oblivion. Very odd.

In the UK maybe. In the US right now it is number one top seller. The whole list is:

1. Duke Nukem Forever
2. Dead Rising 2
3. Terraria
4. Resident Evil 5
5. The Witcher 2

Same order as here. Save for no Duke Nukem at the top. Odd given that it's been sold here for a couple of days longer than the US.

It could be now that they're done with preorders. But, has the price for it gone back to normal? Around here since it hasn't launched people can still buy it at the preorder price in most places.
dont know why but i still feel sam and duke are a lot similar to each other, ofc sam excluding the girls and the urban maps
a lot of others are asking the same question
