hedwards: The sexual innuendo and such are an integral part of the series. Hence why GR was giggling about it. There's other bits of Duke which can't really be removed, but the notion that it's 15 years later and that somehow means that Duke is less focused on the babes is kind of at odds with the aesthetic of the series.
GameRager: Thanks for replying on my behalf as you saved me the time & said it better than I would ever have.
No worries, I was pretty sure that was what you were getting at. It puzzled me a bit that it wasn't perfectly clear. A Duke without boobs is like collard greens that don't taste good or perhaps a tree that's not made out of wood.
StingingVelvet: I dislike Serious Sam/Painkiller style arenas flooded with enemies. Duke is a lot different gameplay wise.
GameRager: Painkiller/SS are amazing fun and the large areas give you room to run around and dodge attacks......imagine small areas and enemy waves....talk about near impossible.
I think they're fun, it's just a completely different subgenre. Painkiller also tends to focus more on giving players what they want without any pretext to a story, an idea which should have been cooked up years earlier, like say when they were doing the Catacombs Abyss.
