Kabuto: Where's the bottle of 'Roids?

Red_Avatar: They nerfed it - you can no longer activate and deactivate it, it has become a bottle of beer, and your vision goes blurry (which makes it pretty pointless unless you're running away).
Stupid trade offs for the sake of balance, and in the single player at that. What's the point? Either give me a temporary power up or don't; don't give me it but then oh no look I'm now blind. It's single-player, you don't need to balance single-player. Single-player can be anything, extremely challenging or a cake walk. As long as it feels good to play it doesn't matter.
you can always disable the shader on the pc version to remove the blurry effect ^_^

This.....I again hope someone mods 'roids back in. To remove them from a Duke game seems totally wrong somehow.
OK... I forgot to reply to this before, 1 day left for launch.

Consolitis makes for a good discussion or not?

I've played the demo for 30min or so, not rushing it, looking around, disabled depth of field... Why only 2 fucking weapons at once? Is it this FOV or what that's making me dizzy? How awkwardly can you place the controls for pipebombs and tripmines on PC, just because of the consoles' limited number of controls (so let's go copy and paste it for the PC)? Glowing lemon line... err orange railroad cars, really? Regen health seems fitting, you can notice that it fits in in both battles although the demo isn't that difficult. I should say that both boss fights are kinda boring, easy. DLCs are already announced, 2K is looking for profits. The feces thing is stupid, that's marketing aimed at teenagers. Also let's get drunk like teenagers do, by drinking only 1 beer...

I can live with those downsides, my three main complaints are: the FOV, having only 2 weapons, and not having the mighty boot; these are just stupid, if you remember how fast you could own the game overall in DN3D, using steroids and changing from weapon to weapon.

It is Duke, it feels nice. It isn't Crysis-like but yes UE3 can deliver graphics and art faithful to what I think this game should be.

Funny that my brain kept telling me to press 5 5 5 for the RPG; maybe it's a residual memory from how many times I've played the shareware version of DN3D, something that sadly I won't repeat with this DNF demo, it's too short and I've seen it all from videos before. And couldn't they reserve a 150MB in the download for an HD version of the launch trailer, instead of this already old trailer in a low resolution?
