Hell yeah, 2 hours ago I received an email about it... First Access Club members only, for a few days.

Downloading right now, the demo activates through Steam. 1786MB of gaming history. :-)

enjoy, fellow FAC member.
I just started work. I absolutely cannot wait to go home and play it...
Just got my code as well. My current PC can't run it though :(

Might have to go visit my little brother ;)
Also, not only demo is out. Game is out next week for almost everybody. I so cannot wait to intercept the parcel with Balls of Steel edition of DNF... It's going to be an extremely frantic weekend ;)
Demo first impressions?

Cool, downloading now.

Borderlands was one of the last games I bought digitally before buying boxed copies again, so I got the code through Steam.

I saw your post on the steam forum .
I don't like the two-weapon bit - I want the entire arsenal, damnit, otherwise it's not duke. For the rest, it was an enjoyable run.
Extremely short, 20 mins. The intro sequence we have all seen with the huge Cycloid in the football stadium and 2 parts of the mine/monster truck sequence.

Other than that it looks good, plenty of weapons and the bombs on shoulder buttons make sense. Pretty good I guess. Puzzling that at the end they show an SD trailer of the same one we have seen all year, would would think they would have a least put the new HD one on there.
Won't be able to try it out until Sunday, I think. Can't wait.
MY GOD THE WORST DEPTH OF FIELD EFFECTS EVER.

Seriously, that shit was terrible. Turn off processesing effects and suddenly the game looks about ten times better. Who do developers think that stuff looks good? I think a main reason I am still a PC gamer is the depth of field toggle. I feel bad for console dudes playing this.

Anyway, as for the game... pretty good. Nothing special in the gameplay department but it has the right attitude and look. I am sure a billion old-school fans will be posting a billion rants about how this is not the same game, and they are right, but I enjoyed it. Limiting the guns to two is BS though, as is regenerating health. Neither feels at all like a Duke game should. Hiding behind cover and waiting for my bar to go back up isn't even ego boosting in theory, I wouldn't think.

Anyway... fun.
Hmmm, I bought Borderlands about a month or two ago on Steam, it said First Access Club but no mail in my email. Well it's not like it's been on my most wanted list, so whatever.

The shoulder what?
