Yeah yeah, this should be in Duke Nukem section. Anyways, I have 4 questions about Duke Nukem 3D:
1) Does the game run like any other game on GOG? I mean does the game just runinstead of being configured in DOSbox?
2) If I were to use mods, is there an easy way to configure them?
3) I suck with DOSbox, so is the game preconfigured for DOSbox?
4) DO I NEED ANY KNOWLEDGE OF DOSbox OR DOES THE GAME LOAD AND PLAY AUTOMATICALLY WHEN SHORTCUT IS CLICKED ON?
All DOSbox games here on GOG 'just run'. You can configure them further, but for the majority of people, just double click the shortcut and play.

It loads and plays. Everything is pre-configured to work correctly. You CAN adjust DOSBox settings if you want, but you don't have to because GoG already did.

jesus dude.
it runs fine, also man, like.. for mods there's a whole thread on that in the duke nukem section.
usually your posts while a little asinine are ok, but this is just gross negligence, and I'm fucking drunk as hell
DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS TO GET MY ATTENTION OR ARE YOU TRYING TO BE A DICK LIKE USUAL?!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111111!!!!!!!!!!!
The fact that you KNOW there's a DN3D forum for this stuff and you still go like, "Fuck that dudes, I'll post it in the wrong place" is unbelievable. So, what? The DN3D forum is for pictures of bunnies or something?

drunky called it like he saw it
1. No. GOG mail you the game on floppies. So make sure your mailing address is correct. 3D Realms had a stack of those old floppies just rotting away due to their immediate replacement by the CD version. So GOG must have been like their salvation from a ET-esque landfill.
2. All mods come with an "Quick Config" button as standard. Just click it and your DN3D mods will all be running at maximum awesomeness.
3. As above. GOG just send you the floppies for the game. You have to download and configure DOSbox yourself.
4. In the Requirements section on the game's page, they're not joking when they add "Advanced systems engineering degree or equivalent".

I just wanted that question to be the main one answered. And yes, I do know there is a Duke Nukem 3D forum, but I am just lazy, as usual.=)

This is why I love these forums. You can feel the love and admiration between our fellow goggers, and it gives me a nice warm tingly feeling.
Of course that could just be heartburn.

Pepto Bismol?
I had some questions too.
1. Is this the same Duke Nukem 3D that was made by 3D Realms in 1996? Can't be too sure...
2. Can I use an XBOX 360 controller with it? I'd rather play with a controller.
3. Why the hell is there no forum for Duke? It'd be much easier to read things about him if it were all bunched together.

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. No, Yes.
It's far better to play the game through a third-party port like eDuke than playing it in Dosbox. To find, download, and configure eDuke you need at least 12 points in Human Intelligence.
