If you were buying only one, which would you choose?

I can't afford all the games I want on sale and these look extremely similar so I'll probably only get one but don't know which to pick.
Duke Nukem 1+2, I like those type of games :)
Dave is fun, but Duke is the better choice, in my opinion. Duke 2 in particular is the real winner.
I'd choose Dangerous Dave. They're a little shorter, but have a higher level of difficulty, and they're just more fun.
If it helps, Duke is more fast-paced run-and-gun, whereas Dave requires more precision and planning.
I own them both, being a huge fan of old platformers, and I can safely say that Dave is much, much harder than Duke. All are fun, in their own ways, but Duke 1 and 2 are the better option in terms of production values (sound, graphics, and general length), but Dave makes for the more hardcore challenge.

If I could only get one, I'd definitely bet on Duke.
duke!
Definitely Duke. DD is great, but the difficulty is artificial and Romero distances himself from the latter games as they aren't as good. Plus, he had nothing to do with it.
Dangerous Dave, baby
Rick Dangerous!

Best platformer ever, in my opinion.

Oh, was not up for vote :(
This... this is impossible to choose between... (or I'm just a huge nerd)
You know, there is this Rick Dangerous II! :) Sorry for the bad pun!

In terms of platforming, shooting, or both?

Dave is harder but smoother, and I'd say Dave is wee bit tighter gameplay-wise. That said, I spent the better part of the Fall of 1995 playing Duke Nukem 1, so I'm a tad biased.

I wish those were on GOG.
