Laser: Does anyone want to see the Duke Nukem games making an appearance here at GOG.com?
They are well over 10 years old and are made of pure win :D
The Duke Nukem engine was open sourced a few years ago and there have been a number of free update engines released over the past few years including EDuke32 and JFDuke, not to mention the
High Res Pack which adds a lot of prettier looking textures the game.
I don't think the original levels were ever open sourced (I own a couple of copies of the original Duke Nukem 3D game CDs anyway) so there might be a case for GOG selling the original game for people to grab the levels from it.
But the original Build engine was *very* DOS orientated and a pain in the bum to get working on modern Windows systems (especially audio) so there's no point trying to play it with the original executable when the new engines do a much nicer job anyway.
If you've not tried the new engines and have the original level files, they really are well worth checking out - very stable and very pretty!
