What ACTUALLY makes me happy about this is that it gives me hope that we might see the LucasArts games here one day. I mean, it's a game using a Disney license and it's actually a remake of an 8-bit console title. It means that there *might* be someone at Disney who actually understands that it would be a great idea to re-release LucasArts games.

Qwertyman: Not a bad idea but if I ever got the urge to revisit that game, I'd just assume play it emulated at this point. It was up there on my list of NES favorites as a kid, though. And to be honest, there's something about the remastered graphics that isn't really turning me on. It looks sort of... cheesy, like a phone game or something rather than a nicely polished console remake. Actually the character models look nice, but the rest of the graphics look phone/tablet-ish.

dae6: I think, for me, it's more a mismatch between the characters and the background that's throwing me off just a bit. Not that it looks particularly bad, and it's certainly not enough to turn me off from the game if it otherwise turns out well.
Indeed, it looks really odd. Going with the cartoony/hand-drawn look for the characters and 3d backgrounds & objects does not work in this instance, at least not according to me. If that is the look they are going to stick with, I don't see much of a reason to play it over the NES version, unless they introduce more elements to the game.

StingingVelvet: Loved this show and Talespin and some others as a kid. Still, I have no real interest in them now, outside of clips for nostalgia. It seems weird to me some people still love them as adults.

In any case I remember this being fine platforming, so if it comes to PC I'll check it out.

hedwards: Not really, they're bimodal programs, as in they've got things for kids as well as adults. Hell, have you watched Mr. Rogers recently? It's chock full of things that only an adult would notice. I never realized that it's King Friday XIII as in Friday the thirteenth.

Plus, the shows were well written and well animated, you'd have to be dead inside to not love them if you loved them to begin with.
The same holds true for many other older "kids shows" as well. Ever tried to watch the show Dinosaurs as an adult? There are almost as many jokes in that show aimed at adults as there are for kids. And a substantial portion of the The Real Ghostbusters episodes were also made with an older audience in mind (mainly the ones who were written by J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5) were like this).

Many of the shows that were not mainly created to sell toys were made with a broader audience in mind.

Yeah, I watched that a couple years ago and it was at least as good as when I was 11. Funny, I never really thought of that as being a kids program, probably because my parents were watching when I did.

It was aimed at slightly older kids, those nearing their teens, and also people in their lower-mid teens.
And their parents.

Yup, shows that really hold up... I'd add Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures to that list...

NO! NOT THAT SONG! AAAAAAAAAAAH!!
People, let's unite and all buy ten copies of this game each. This way we might convince Disney that video games are a very lucrative business and they might start thinking more seriously about re-releasing the LucasArts games.

Oh yes that song. Here let me help you out a bit:

Hope Chip and Dale gets remastered, spent an insane amount of time playing that during the Nintendo days. Also love all the great old Disney cartoons: Ducktales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Talespin etc. They're the definition of a great part of my childhood.

Barry_Woodward: Trailer

It's a remake of the Capcom NES classic.

http://badassdigest.com/2013/03/22/we-never-thought-this-day-would-come-ducktales-being-remade/

Although a PC version has yet to be announced, I imagine it's only a matter of time. Vote for it on the wishlist:

P.S. Hopefully Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers: Remastered is not far behind.
I've been wanting to ask for a while now but was afraid to come over as offensive but here it goes (without any sense of offensiveness or anything other negative, i am just curious): what's your fascination with the wishlist? Sometimes it seems you only post to recommend the wishlist...

"If you guys want to support us, make sure to vote in our community wishlist so that we can give more weight to all our ongoing and upcoming business talks. It worked for SS2, so it can work for other titles. I know that some people may think that voting in the wishlist doesn’t accomplish anything. I’m here to tell you it does." - Guillaume Rambourg [Source]

Now coming to PC!!

Now, is this a Capcom *USA* property or Japan? Could we possibly see this on GOG?
