In and thank you, truhlik77.

I live on Long Island. We're known for a drink called the Long Island Iced Tea, which is made with no tea whatsoever.

What it does contain is pretty much the opposite of tea: about five servings worth of various kinds of alcohol. And yet I know people who will drink Long Island Iced Teas. Plural. As in, multiple quantities at one sitting.

Myself? I have half a light beer and I'm pretty much done. My friends think it's a little pathetic, but at least my liver and I are still on speaking terms.

Cheers.

But it becomes a solution the moment you dissolve anything in it. Including alcohol.

Now you know.

some interesting info: a long Island Ice Tea is Vodka, Gin, Rum, tequila and Triple sec (all the clear liquors in a quick bar) with a splash cola. if made correctly you can't taste the alcohol at all making it a good drink for beginners. On the contrary don't think its a good way to get a lady drunk, 2 or 3 of them and you will be spending the night in girls bathroom of O'Leary's bar and grill in Hampton NH holding her hair back so she doesn't get any puck in it. Been their, done that!

truhlik77: It has happened again. I came back home under the domination of of several Czech pilsner beers. And wife allowed me to switch on computer. And here you can see result:). I decided to give community back little from that gave me here. And hosting my first giveaway. Nothing hard, nothing complicated. Few words is enough:)

Prize:
Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga (GOG)

Rules:
1. Rep must be greater than 18 (countries where you can drink since 18 years) or 21 (rest of world).
2. Write some funny (or educational!) story about you and alcohol. Or at least your favorite and most hated drink.
3. Prize is for you purpose only. Being for someone else is allowed.
4. Say that you are in!

Enjoy your life, take it easy and good luck everyone!
Drink responsibly!
Alcohol really improved my Karaoke skills! Nothing like a little liquid courage to spice up the dance floor in the karaoke bar! True Story!

Also a bottle of Vodka once help stopped the burning of a severe wound I suffered once , Alcohol can really take away the pain almost permanently, damn it burns to hell but the calm after the storm is worth it.

I'm In too! As a matter of fact I'm drinking a rum and coke right now!
1. Rep is up around 550, I think I qualify.

2. First time I had a Mike's Hard Lemonade, I didn't taste any alcohol so I grabbed a second one almost immediately. Ended up downing 2 in about 15 minutes. About 30 minutes later I realized I was drunk and still had to drive myself home. Having never been drunk before (or since), I was very focused on observing the effects of my own drunkenness, such as rubbery legs & the lines in the road being hard to focus on. I purposely drove home in the slow lane, making sure to go slow enough that I could react, but not so slow as to draw unwanted attention to myself. I made it home safely & vowed never to become drunk again. MORAL OF THE STORY: never assume alcohol content based on taste.

3. Funny thing is, I've been wanting to try Baldur's Gate for the last few days, hoping it would go on sale. I'm a big D&D fan, played Basic through the experimental 5th Edition, and also loved ToEE on the pc...so winning this game would be much appreciated!

4. I'm in!

In for TwoHandedSword (for letting me know) ;-P

Little fact about alcohol: It's legal to drink beer and wine at the age of 16 in Germany. Only distilled beverages are restricted to the age of 18.

Lol, thanks. Here's another one: until recently, in Russia anything under 20 proof (10% alcohol) was legally considered a soft drink.
Ah, Czech beer! You made me thirsty.
Anyway, I thank you for the giveaway. Not in but +1.
