Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

Doh it's over! Was fun! Not as exciting as Insomnia but still fun!

darkmoment: Is Spelunky worth $3.74?

It is not much money. I bought many games at higher price than this but those are games that I wanted.
I saw Spelunky quickly depleted in Insomnia promotion and now it is in Time machine promotion as best game for 2013.

Problem is I'm not a fan of platformer game. Last time I played platformer game was 15-20 years ago.

saluk: ... is... spelunky... worth... 3.74 measly dollars????

It's one of my most favorite and most played games of 2013 by far. Endless hours of getting killed in stupid ways that I know were my own damn fault, but I really wish I could blame the games for. It did take me some time to get into at first though.
Well, as I said, I am not platformer guy but thank you for your comment on the game.
"The promo has ended"

Is that it? Noooo...
I was really hoping for a "Best of" or some surprise, but it's really not worth complaining when GOG does amazing sales like this.
Nice sale, i got Sim City and The Witcher,
I'm always glad when a gog sale ends because it means I can go to sleep.

I agree... Cant complain. They come up with something else that's cool pretty soon.

Tomkel: Really GOG?

It's 9 pm, I'm home from work, I'm awake, and Spelunkey is the best game of 2013 you people can coffer for sale?

LAME!

JustSayin: For people that like to throw the word 'entitled' around, here's the example you were looking for.
Wow, I didn't know the Spelunkey fans were so sensitive.
So that's the end then is it? How anti-climatic.
Aww, I was hoping for a rapid fire recap or something. I really only wanted Tomb Raider in this sale but I missed it because it came up while I was sleeping. These unique sales are cool, GOG, but if you could find a solution for the "missing out on the overnight" problem that would be great.
Huh.

I expected the sale to repeat. There were probably (?) a lot of games I might have bought (?) during work hours, or sleep hours, that I never got to see. At least the Insomnia sale repeated, probably several times. Oh well. Less games for me!
I love GOG, and I did buy some cool games from the Time Machine sale.

However, I did miss out on three games I would have bought, and I missed them because I was either asleep or at work.

That was annoying. Just saying that it is helpful to offer the sale at times people are around to buy.

I missed the only one I was interested in as well. It's really aggravating that GOG doesn't take into account that people have jobs and have to sleep when doing these sales. I like that they try new things, but these extreme short term sales are best left to Woot, woot does it better anyways.

As a result of that, rather than me buying something, I wound up buying nothing at all.

There's a thread where users list the games and how long they were up for. But, you might not want to go in and look, might remind you what games you missed.
