Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

Gotta say, I'm pleased that the site is behaving soooo much better with this sale compared to Insomnia. Dunno if it comes down to site improvements, or simply a matter of less people bombarding the place at once, but it sure is night and day between the two sales.

Grobles87: With 39ish minutes left for Amnesia I'm not convinced if I should buy it or not because I'm not too much a fan of horror games. I'm actually worried this game might be too scary for me. In your opinion, from 1-10, how scary would Amnesia be? Depending on the answer I'll make a decision. Guess that sounds weird but oh well...
From 1-10 it would be: "AAAAHHHHH RUN RUUUUN!! OH MY GOD! I'M SO SCARED! GOD PLEASE HELP ME! IT IS THERE I CAN HEAR IT! Calm down, calm down... You can do this! Just take a look around that cor...OH MY GOD HE SAW ME!!! LIGHTS OUT! LIGHTS OUT!!" *CRIES*

No freebies = much less F5 button presses

Cyberevil: So I just got back from work and hate to get you all "back on topic" but how is the current game? (amnesia) the reviews on it seem wildly far apart with a general bent of folks liking it.

Would it be too intense for my daughter? (15)
It depends of her, and of what scarres her. It could be ok... maybe should you see some gameplay video (see there : http://www.gog.com/forum/general/drmfree_time_machine_sale/post3403 )

KunoNoOni: So let's assume Spelunky is the game for 2013. What percentage do you think they will take off from it?
With a mean cost of $3 for each of the next 3 games (see my post on prev. page) I'd say it will be around 75% off, so it'll cost about $3.75
Back from the doc's appointment, what did I miss? Hmm, seems like nth.

Has Amnesia: The Dark Decent really been up for the past three hours or so?

Depends on how easily you immerse yourself. If not very, then you'll notice how predictable/easy to avoid the enemies are and it won't be scary at all. The monster ai isn't exactly intelligent, and spawns become predictable.

However, if you are the kind of person who puts themself into the game and views the monsters as living entities, you will be absolutely terrified.

dude did he like operate on you that you come back from doc's at 22:36?
GOG just lost my order. Went to check my cart and the games I had in there were full price. What a waste of time.

Well yeah man, the sale's only for the allotted time. I think that was made pretty clear.
For only 2 bucks, I'm almost tempted to buy Amnesia just to have it DRM-free... but then I remember that when I got that bundle, it also included a DRM-free version. Well. Let's wait for 2011 then.

Consider contacting support. I've had a case where with the insomnia sale the server crashes blocking my purchase until the item was sold out and they squared me away.

I would cry. Just imagine that "I'm right behind you"-sound, which distantly sounds like a ongoing scream. And you'll hear it all around you. Turn around and the last thing you'll see is a deformed claw.
