Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

cmdr_flashheart: Gog's, obviously.

HypersomniacLive: But that doesn't make sense now, since we're already ~ 3hrs past their working hours.
Working hours can vary depending on company and occasion. Really, I was hoping that the sale wouldn't be automated so there was a chance to sway what games could appear the next day. It was a pipe dream :]

Nice_Boat: I was thinking on maybe buying this pack, but I readed this:
http://www.gog.com/forum/might_and_magic_series/these_games_are_tampered_with_by_advertisers

Could anyone tell me what is this about?

I didn't found anyone more complaining about it.

Caladus: Well people are buying the pack. So maybe they will post here about it. If they even notice. Most people are dense when it comes to reading EULAs.
I'm currently downloading the installer to see if the terms of use say what syneran claims they say. Should be easy enough to verify that. The company he mentions does indeed seem to do what he says they do so if they are mentioned in the terms, that should be a pretty big red flag indeed.

PaterAlf: Everybody who don't own it by now should buy the Might and Magic 6-pack. Even at normal price that's the best deal in the whole GOG catalogue. $2.49 for this pack is a steal.

teshra: Seconded.
Thirded.
hey i was just wondering if the sale haas just started if not does anyone know if Stronghold Crusader HD has been on sale

Siegor: I'm considering buying it but I heard the gameplay is a lot like na FPS with strafing and just shooting, which seems odd for a medieval RPG. Would anyone be so kind as to elaborate on the gameplay please?
Thanks in advance.
You can play it shooter-like if you never use the turn-based feature. For travelling and fighting easy opponents that saves some time. But for serious fights you can hit Enter to go to turn-based and then think about your moves strategically. I really liked the play style and I don't like shooters at all. Of course, I first played it when it actually came out and didn't have more modern games to compare it to.
I already have the Might and Magic 6-pack, but clearly a lot of others don't because the time is staying high. It's a great deal on this set, too.
By some Might and Magic the timer is neither moving forward nor backward. My guess is this might take a magical while.

P1na: Posting because I want to be in the first page.
+1 because you are too careless for your own .... rep. Fruits shouldn't crave for so much for light exposure, even if it's hardcoded.

The EULA is the one for the game, then the GOG.com one, then Inno Setup, DOSBox and QT.

It's the only thing keeping me from outright just buying the pack right now. Of course it would be easy enough to just firewall the software itself.

Thanks a lot, that was just what I needed to hear, gameplay like Wizardry series. Thank you.
Well, if Keana appears, it should move faster than any other game this time xP

I can only tell you about MM6. That game had a choice between real time combat and turn based combat. The real time combat is similar to a FPS.

The post you folks are concerned about is from 2009, I think if this was an issue there would be more noise about it by now.
