Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

randomengine: I bought it because one day I hope to have courage enough to finish it. +3 seconds from me.
Gotta have ambitions :) Good luck!

gscotti: There was a time I thought Fallout and Fallout 2 were those games... imagine my shock when GOG pulled those games from the store. But, OTOH, those games probably were owned by everybody on here.
avatar
IAmSinistar: I chose The Witcher for that badge of honour, due to the connection between GOG and CD Projekt RED. :)
Oh, right! Good (and nice) thinking.

Welp, as soon as I'm done with the Zorks (what pleasure, those are) I'll be Witching.
edit : received the game as a gift

The damn timer is just going up and up. I think it's time for bed...

ne_zavarj: Amnesia: The Dark Descent ? It would be nice to own it .
Well buy it then! It's $2...

So how is it that people know that Unepic is going to be next and that for 2013 it is going to be Spelunky and not Divinity:Dragon Commander? I missed that part of the thread. Was this confirmed by one of the Blue Boys some time earlier?

Ugh
ALL RIGHT.

For the first time during the sale, a game on my wishlist AND a 90% discount.

Gaming life doesn't get any better than that. :)

One more game checked off my wish list and onto my shelf.

I love this place...
Considering buying Amnesia, what kind of horror are we talking about?

Because if it's just gore, blood and guts, I'll pass.
Oh my goodness. Amnesia: The Dark Descent! I know my brother will love this. I've never used the Gifting feature here before though, so hopefully it works well :D

randomengine: There should be a way to see other people's gaming collections so you can A. Verify they don't have it and B. If they have a bajillion games give it to the guy who has very few and therefore would probably appreciate it more.
But, but... What if those other games mean nothing to this person? What if they're all just momentary distraction meant to fill the empty hole, hole that can only be filled with The One Game? The One Game they've been yearning for their whole lives? ;_;

Psychological. You don't play Amnesia TDD, it plays you. 'nuff said.
