Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

randomengine: I am a veteran of scary games. All the Silent Hills and Resident Evils, Dead Spaces. This game.....scares the hell out of me, enough to where I get anxiety just thinking about playing it.
The other horror games you mentioned don't (or rather didn't, back in the day) have the same effect on you? Does either come close? I played SH1 on PS1 when I was a kid. I still have the game and the console, but I can't bring myself to finish the second playthrough that I started all those years ago - too scared :D

I'm going to lunch. No posting on this thread until I get back.

IAmSinistar: Amnesia at 90% off? You must get this now, my children.
I'm kinda divided here. Personally the horror genre has not really hit me, but then again, Amnesia is highly acclaimed.. Though I did buy Witcher even though I already have it (digital download + support for CDP).

Amnesia, worth it or not? Any reasons for one or the other?

Don't be afraid, mighty sinistar. Going to buy my own copy :)

Usul83: I just panicked and bought.Torchlight. Is it any good? :)
II think it is, it feels like a Diablo game in every way but story and name.

Are you now trying to roofie the children again with this offer Father? :P

I don't regret paying full price at launch, but it's lunacy to ignore this game for a measly 2 bucks.

PaterAlf: I was the gifter and I think you both have a point. I offered the code to goldragon, but I was well aware that someone else might snatch it when I post it openly. If it would've been a special code I would've sent him a PM. But it was a Torchlight code, people still have tons of it from the free givaway half a year ago.
Another code I posted stayed unredeemed for fifteen minutes and when I tried to give it away in the past, I wasn't even able to find someone who wanted it.

On the other hand I think that a polite ninja could at least say thank you.

goldragon: Uh. So it was Torchlight :)
I missed Gothic and thought it's for Gothic.
Then it's ok if someone was faster :)
The plot thickens....

Unless you are one of those strange people who don't enjoy being scared shitless ..... like I am.

I went through almost all of Silent Hill 2 with just the lead pipe and slowly/methodically killing anything that moved. I was OK as long as I could move slowly and eliminate all the scary stuff......

Amnesia you cannot do that. You can only hide and hope they dont find you.
Amnesia... this is bad news for me, I'm afraid. I hoped to see Spelunky before 0.00 a.m. but this sale will likely last VERY long. Great game, anyway!
