Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

Ponxha: Still hesitating on Torchlight as I own the 2nd but not the 1st ..

deneric: I really enjoyed Torchlight, but it'll definitely be disappointing after Torchlight 2. The sequel was really a complete improvement
This ^

00dwan: Wow, a snatch and run? No "thank you" even? I didn't take it, but thanks for sharing PaterAlf!
Those are sadly too common, especially in the Ninja Thread. We suspect there may also be bots that watch certain threads for anything key-shaped. A PM is the best way to ensure the intended recipient gets the game code.
Why is Torchlight going down so fast, is it so mediocre as a game?

I'm debating a purchase but have to leave in a minute....argh life and its crucial decisions

CrashNBrn: So if we can't officially "gift" games we buy (now own) is it still "legal" to download the game, not use the activation code, give the downloaded game to someone else (e.g. my Nephew), along with the activation code... I can;t see how there would be any technical restrictions from doing so.

I bet nothing that 2010 is going to be vvvvvvv.

IAmSinistar: The "Price Under $10" is also worthless, since so many games are either $9.99 or $5.99. I'd really like a "Price Under $6" to capture the $5.99 ones better.
Yeah, that too.

gscotti: Wow, really? That's kind of assholish, whoever did it.
avatar
ReynardFox: If you originally gifted yourself the code, you can look in your account under 'gifts' you can see who exactly redeemed it. Also whoever took it is a dick.
Yup. I think the gifter should name-and-shame. I hate to sound like and old grump, but "this used to be such a nice neighborhood..."

HypersomniacLive: But can it beat Space Quest 1+2+3 (0:33)?
avatar
gscotti: I almost feel silly for buying Space Quest bundle in this promo. You guys make me feel inadequate ;D
Space Quest is something every adventurist should have. Never feel inadequate. :o)

GOG gave it away for free not that long ago.

If you've never played the franchise, $1.49 is a pretty good price to get started with it (and you can even buy an extra copy for a pal!), just don't play Torchlight 2 until you really feel done with the original ;)

What activation code are you talking about? Games on GOG are completely DRM-free, no activation no nth.

Games on your shelf are exclusively for personal use or multiple installations within your household (it's stated in the ToU). If you want to gift a GOG game to your nephew, you should buy it as a gift code. Your nephew would need his own GOG account though in order to redeem it.

PaterAlf: Come GOG, Torchlicht??? Seriously???

Thanks. I was about to buy it then I saw you give it away - just in time.

Its not a mediocre game its just that a lot of people here already own the game. If you like games like diablo and diablo II then you would like it, but many folks say the sequel is better.

Apparently it's been on sale quite a bit and even given away a short while ago. I'm also still debating XD

PaterAlf: *snip*

goldragon: Looks like someone was faster than me as it says invalid code :)
But still thanks for trying to help.
If you still don't have a copy, I can PM you one. Let me know.
