Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

JustSayin: You do realize what kind of games are here, right?

avatar
jamotide: I only tried Heroes 5 for 10 minutes, then the hero attack animation cam annoyed me too much. Can these be turned off now?
Unfortunately I dont think they can but I am not entirely sure.

Kieriko: I'd like to know what I missed so I can imprecate better.

Is that some sort of joke I don't get? They've all be good examples of the genre (though I'd quibble about one of them), with many being important in gaming history. Which ones are actually "poor" games?

1984: Ultima 1+2+3
1985: King's Quest 1+2+3
1986: Might and Magic 6-pack: Limited Edition

1988: Police Quest 1+2+3+4
1989: SimCity 2000 Special Edition
1990: Wizardry 6 + 7
1991: Wing Commander 1+2
1992: Star Control 1+2
1993: Cannon Fodder
1994: Jagged Alliance

I think that English is not the first language of most of us. It's cool when it make us learn obscure words and make us seem like we have a better vocabulary than the native speakers. :)
Top 5 Bestsellers So Far: (from GOG front page)

#5 - Serious Sam: The First Encounter
#4 - Tomb Raider 1+2+3
#3 - SimCity 2000 SE
#2 - Might & Magic 6-pack Limited Edition
#1 - Deus Ex

Everyone loves Deus Ex.
Already have a physical copy of Sam&Max, but 90% off is just too good to pass on, always good to have an extra digital copy of my fav games! :-)

There were far far better games that could've been added that have yet to have any special deals, like Settlers 2 gold edition! gog just keeps rehashing the same games again and again with deals. How about something different in the Retro era?

Can't you just make a copy of the one you have?

Sure I will, somewhere in 2043 I gather. ;-)
I feel retarded... I forgot to buy FlatOut, went to work in garage and now I realized how stupid I am. Anyone want to sell extra copy/gift ?

Ugh, too exhausting! :-D

Plus, I might be moving in a few months, and due to place restrictions, might have to sell a bunch of my physical copies of games then.

Nope, missed it as well, darn need to sleep. :-) Would have gotten FlatOut too probably, but ah well, means there'll still be something left in the next big sale I guess. ;-)
