Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

Ghorpm: I place my bet on Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum! or The Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary. We shall see ;)
That is exactly what my guesses are too.
OMG! I slept way longer than I should have! The List, please!

JustSayin: So is GOG supposed to wait and have sales when it suits you? Time Zones playa.
No, it's supposed to wait and have sales when it suits everyone. Since this is taking more than a day, unless you're awake all the time or wake up every hour, you're going to miss on some deals regardless of your time zone.

real.geizterfahr: Well... There was a huge deal from December 12 to 29. I don't know where you live, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't "after midnight" all the time back then. It's just another sale... You missed one deal? Get off that roof, it's not worth it! You just "lost" 3 Dollar, if you really can't wait for the next sale (or regular promo which features your game).
Which does not change the fact that this sale is annoying.

Theta_Sigma: I would keep in mind Space Rangers 2 (well both of them) are pulled from the GOG catalog so it is unlikely to be up for 2006. :(
avatar
Ghorpm: My bad. Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded and TOCA Race Driver 3 were also released on 2006 but I skipped them cause they are not here anymore. I forgot about Space Rangers though
What happened with Guilty Gear? I didn't realize it's gone.
Dreamfall is something I always wanted to play.

Ghorpm: I will try to complete this shortly:

You are welcome to check it out
Don't think you have to spend the time running through 2011 through 2013 just for the sake of what might be coming up on the sale. Someone mentioned to me earlier that the GOG email showed Spelunky (2013), Unepic (2011) and Legend of Grimrock (2012).

So the 2003 game was PoP: Sands of Time and 2004 was Thief 3, right?

Sadly yes, because I missed the 2003 game while I was sleeping.
What were the 03 and 04 games?

Soccorro: What were the 03 and 04 games?

No problem, it was Thief 3 not 2 good that you didn't miss anything. I on the other hand am ruing my missed game. :)
This is my least favorite GOG sale gimmick yet.
The final minutes are a haven for trolls, and I don't think anyone has time to sift through this entire sale.
What a bunch of nonsense.

Bummer!! I was looking forward to those two games. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait for the next sale :(
