Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

<iframe width="590" height="322" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/6_uC01QztBg?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

I hate this sale. It's making me buy stuff I don't want because it's just too damn cheap.

The_Blog: That's atleast was the result of my me researches. So I havn't actually played this version through yet (just bought it ^^). But I'm pretty sure it doesn't include it. IF it does include it and somebody finds out. Please post it here !
avatar
OldFatGuy: The GOG version, just like the USA version, doesn't include it. But I purchased it, then found a patch at that big Gothic Fan Site (actual name escapes me now but someone around here knows it) that puts it back in.

I played the game with the band playing and the little missus doing her dirty dancing. :)
I can't find any patch. You probably mean the Site 'World of Gothic'. Do you have a link maybe? Because the GOG version + In Extremo would be superb!

Niggles: ...
Another World: 15th Anniversary Edition 14/04/2006
...
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey 17/04/2006
...
The Settlers 2: 10th anniversary 27/10/2006
...

If Jmich's spreadsheet is correct (and gamecards correct) those are the games for 2006 that could go up (ignoring the games no longer on GOG)

skeletonbow: If it's any of the games I excerpted from your list that'd be good for me as they're on my wishlist. In particular I'd like to see Another World at 80-90% off as it's a nice old classic that would be nice to add for the right price (I still have it on old floppies though). If they choose NWN2 for the promo, which is entirely plausible as they know it's a big seller, it's going to sell like there's no tomorrow. I'd wager it'd sell at least 3000-4000 copies or more judging by estimates from previous sales. I'd expect it to be on sale for at least 8-12 hours or more, so anyone who is upset over a game staying up for a while in this sale better hope to hell they don't put any of the AD&D games on sale as they're the most popular sellers in the entire catalogue in every sale they've appeared in to date while I've been watching. ;) Lot of RPG geeks here! (Hey, I'm one too and I bought the entire series during 2012 winter holidays... <grin>)
I cannot see NWN2 being in this. The reason being is that for this sale it has only every been the earliest version of a series/franchise that they have available on GOG and at/near the year of the first game in the series. There are some exceptions. But the only NWN that would be allowed in this sale is the first one, Diamond Edition and it missed the boat due to Serious Sam (or they could just put it in 2003).

Given that list of 2006 titles almost all of them are sequels in some way and I don't see any of them as viable. Something unexpected this way comes in 2006.

justanoldgamer: Bought!

Taking inflation into account, I probably spent more for one play of an arcade game when I was a kid/teen.
I don't play shooters, myself, but ^this^ was my thinking when buying one for my husband/ son. One or both is bound to enjoy it at least as much as a round or two on an old arcade machine. Probably much, much more

Impaler26: I don't really like FPS games but for just 0.45€ i'll give it a try... :D
My thought exactly. For half a Euro it's worth playing it for half an hour just to see what the fuzz was about.

I don't either, but I used to play Wolfenstein 3D and Doom when I was younger. Also, Duke Nukem 3D and Rise of the Triad. I have heard a lot about this game and for 59 cents it is worth just seeing what all the frenzy was about when it was released.
Don't forget Jade Empire for 2005 and looking forward to see Amnesia as well. These two games are on the top of my wishlist.

Ahh okay. Was not aware s/he was guessing at this. Thanks to you both!
Getting the feeling that I might be the only person not buying this. Kinda interesting in a way, since apparently, Serious Sam 2 has still pissed me off to such a degree that it's killed my interest in this one, even when it's the cost of some pocket change. Hate Serious Sam 2 SO SO SO SO much.

Thanks, I added it.
I'm not really into FPS games, but for this price, what the heck? :-) I watched it in a Let's Play youtube video a while ago, looked fun!

And it probably won't happen, but I'm kinda hoping for the Tropico Reloaded bundle for 2003 (think it was the second Tropico that was released in 2003, not the first). Oh, and the Blackwell Bundle for 2006 please, that would be nice as well. Hope we do see another adventure before these sales are over.

No I'm with you, I loved the Unreal series but this humorous/wacky FPS genre doesn't do much of anything for me.
