There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

skeletonbow: What would be really really funny though, is if Mr. Keane goes on sale and the timer lapses to 0 in less than 10 minutes from all the downvotes. hehehe.
Judging by its notoriety now I'd guess that its actually gonna go down even faster, like the timers for the free games during the insomnia sale. ;)
I wonder if GOG has planned what to do in case a game sells a copy every 3 seconds for, say, a day.

Domy85: 2:03??? WTF :-)
WTK, you mean. :P
Hahaha, I take a look at the counter every two minutes or so, and it keeps on getting higher :D MADNESS!

I imagine "roll around naked in a big pile of money" is on that list.
Looks like Keane has struck again.. On the other hand though, it's great to see people still buying this great game. It's kinda hard to believe there's still a ton of people out there who don't have it and wanna buy it. This game just has stuff in it that you can't find in a lot of today's games. Damn.. Now I'm gonna have to play through it again.

ggf162: OK GOG, I see what you're doing now. You're picking titles that go perfectly or almost perfectly with Jack Keane puns :D

Breja: I just wish it didn't mean waiting so long for the next game.
Well waiting would imply the passing of time while right now it is actually the opposite of that, with the way the timer is going. :P
It looks like it is stabilising now at little over 2 hours... not bad since it started at a 1 and a half hours, and each sale adds just +3 seconds... That's 600 copies for +30 minutes, even without the time decay!
Well maybe I'll be lucky and after sleeping and a whole day of work, I come home and the last five seconds of Deus Ex will make it Deus Ex Ex... That would be something
And there goes all the expectations I had on this sale for the rest of the day. Keane Ex is going to be on the home page for many hours, it seems.
Deus Ex GOTY is already in the “Top sellers” list. :-)
OMG! Please stop clicking on additional seconds!!!
Now you see why they didn't do System Shock 2 earlier. If they had, we'd be sitting through the same thing for that, only to reach the end and then have THIS happen.
