Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

Legacy of Keane: Soul Reaver?
(oh great, someone thought up the joke already)

Darn, it looks like I JUST missed Rayman Forever - looks like I'll just wait for another sale when it's bundles together with the other games in the series.

undeadcow: Good thing Deus Ex cannot extend the timer beyond the 1 hour 30 minute cap; otherwise we'd really be in trouble then - although I'd be curious how far out it could push things if there was no limit.

...and the $0.59 game is yet to come...
Uh, there is no cap.
Some games went well over 3 hours. :-)

Yes, it is a rather obvious pun I get no creative points for this one. :)

geminidomino: Well, as a man, it's the only kind I've got. And naturally I'm possessed of great remorse. If I'd gotten it, THEN I would have "No Remorse" ;)
Don't cry, there will be other sales for Crusader, I'm sure it'll be yours before long.

Side question - is there an equivalent expression for women regarding tears?

Uh, I don't think you're gonna like what I'm about to say...
Lara Croft DID extend the timer beyond 1.5h.

Yes, I believe the expression is Crocodile tears...*ducks to avoid all the high heel shoes and sandals*.

Sim City 2000 went 3 hours, 39 minutes. (Thank you, IAmSinistar. Someone engaging in-near OCD level list compiling always makes me smile for some reason.) Deus Ex will crush that time, undoubtedly. If only they mixed that title with the .59 cent price tag. Everyone watching might as well start chugging Nyquil and be a part of GOG's first online mass slumber party if that were to occur.
Ugh, every time I check it's a game that I already have. I keep missing the games that I don't have. I would have picked up Rayman for that price.

I'm afraid that the $0.59 game will be Super Hexagon... :D

HypersomniacLive: Out of curiosity - is crying manly tears the only way to morn about the missed chance to buy Crusader: No Remorse? ;-P
You don't cry for missing Remorseless crusaders.
You don't "manly" cry for missing Remorseful paladins
But it is deemed acceptable for remorseful crusaders, which is not the case here, so there is no need to wimp up !!

How about Jack Kain 2: The Reaver Within?

For me the fun is just beginning. I'm a late-comer to PC gaming, only started gaming (aside from some BBC Acorn games in my teens) in my thirties. For me all those eigthies and nineties games with pixelated graphics are a tough bite. The age of games with fond memories only comes into speed in 1999 (OK then, not in my thirties but late twenties): A brief history of PC gaming

Man, even at 59 cents I wouldn't buy Super Hexagon. I just cannot stand twitch games.
