Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

RDWHTBL: Anyone think Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver is going to beat Sim City 2K on time?
avatar
johnnygoging: anything is possible but I doubt it. I thought for sure Tomb Raider 1+2+3 would beat Sim City given the way the bar was just pretty much frozen at max for a while. I think Deus Ex has a good chance.
I hope something is on for longer than SimCity as I'm still kicking myself for missing it and all this talk about how long it was up makes it all the worse. Damn my human need for sleep!

foxworks: Congrats to MartynD88 for ninja-ing Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver!
Are you in a particularly giving mood today, or are you just generally this awesome kind of person?
For how much was Simcity 2000? I missed that one and was a title that I had some interest in.

SimCity 2000 was $1.49; there is a chance sales with repeat after a first rotation (nothing official but past sale patterns have).

IAmSinistar: Deus Ex will probably bring this sale to a crashing halt with all the time it would add. It probably won't be in here since it was in the Insomnia sale, but if it does show, gird in for a wait.
avatar
johnnygoging: Deus Ex is all but confirmed.

I can go to play and even sleep.

That one will last forever!

Well fudge. Shame it wasn't last night, I could've used the 8 hours without missing a game.

Aw man. That was a good price for such a game. Played Simcity 4 but always wanted to play the classic.

Thanks for the link.
Legacy of Kain, why doest thou needlessly waste precious space that is urgently needed for a System Shock 2 sale?
Oh I'm so stupid. I had Rayman already in my cart but then I walked away because the site was so slow. Then I totally forgot about it until it was too late. Damn!

According to this post on The Escapist, It will be in this sale as well:

And yeah, that one will be a show-stopper, so to speak.

Alternatively, GOG might prank us all by putting up Deus Ex 2 for the year 2003, instead.

EDIT: Nevermind, someone was faster than me.

No argument here, SS2 is one of the best games of any year. On the flipside, it probably would have stayed up for hours upon hours. It was one of the fastest sellers in the Insomnia sale.
