Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

Anyone think Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver is going to beat Sim City 2K on time?
Legacy of Keane: Sleep Reaver

Thruggsen: Note that nowhere do they say each game is supposed to be the best of or even representative of its year. To show up in the sale it has to be in the GoG catalog, and they have to be able to negotiate a sale price with the rights owner (which usually isn't GoG itself).

We've had no strategy games and it looks like we won't be getting any D&D games either, but the ones we've had instead have still been pretty good.
They picked top rated games, and i saw (i think) just games that didn't have promo recently or that sell less than other 5 stars games.

So for 2000, there are really a lot of games rated "5", unreal tournament, deus ex, baldur's gate 2 etc..

But should be a game like Sacrifice, the longest journey or messiah.

We'll see ;)

Just woke up after staying up until Crusader and I come on to see Rayman Forever disappear. Been debating on getting that game for about a year or so. I would have snagged it at that price...Ah, well. I was beginning to think this sale wasn't for me. For the most part , it hasn't since I own most of what's been on offer.

anything is possible but I doubt it. I thought for sure Tomb Raider 1+2+3 would beat Sim City given the way the bar was just pretty much frozen at max for a while. I think Deus Ex has a good chance.

ChrisSD: egacy of Kain: Soul Reaver? That's an... "interesting" choice for 1999.
Yeah, I'm a little bit disappointed...had high hopes for planescape: torment when I saw rayman was the 1998 game

Oh, well, I had TR 1+2+3, can't have everything, right?

foxworks: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

?= As someone so aptly put it: "The Legacy of Kea?e"

(Don't worry, this was from the first insomnia sale so I didn't +3 this title ;)

Just been claimed. Congrats!
Alas! I was slow to get it, but nonetheless +rep and thanks again for continuing to spread the joy. :)

Deus Ex will probably bring this sale to a crashing halt with all the time it would add. It probably won't be in here since it was in the Insomnia sale, but if it does show, gird in for a wait.

Davane: Okay people - I am back after a busy day. Who is currently in charge of the Keane List right now?
avatar
Cavalary: Define the Keane List.

If you mean longest running, still SimCity 2000, 3:40, then still M&M 6-pack, 3:22, followed by Tomb Raider 1-3, 3:06. Everything else not just under 3 but under 2h, and of course the Ultimas and all the Quests even under 1h.
Seems about right.

I guess I haven't exactly missed anything that I don't have already. It's like GOG.com don't want me to spend any of my money in this promo!

Time is money, which GOG is taking a lot of from us with this promo. :P
My guess for 2000 is Avernum @ 95% off costing us only .59
According to the best selling from the main page...

1. Might and Magic 6-pack
2. SimCity 2000
3. Tomb Raider 1+2+3
4. Rayman Forever
5. Carmageddon Max Pack
6. Wing Commander 1+2

I claimed the code. Thanks :)
So far, I already own everything I'm interested in. My wallet looks hopeful that it will get out of this sale unbloodied but there is still over a dozen years to come...
