Hahaha, nice. I so miss old Lucas Arts games, so many varieties and so many fantastic different stories.

Quake 3 and the Half-Life Generations package (I think it was called, had Half-Life, Blue-Shift, Opposing Force, and Counter-Strike).

Not that I really particularly care that much about the former, but it was nice to go on a quick shoot-out once in a while. The second I bought again (well, Half-Life only, but it activated the full package on Steam). The most annoying thing is that I still have the cardboard boxes, but not the discs.

They weren't quite DRM-free either, but close enough with only a local key check.

I lost my Blade Runner CDs when I moved house. I sorely regret this.

You should be able to get the disc versions running with alternate installers and a dll fix for the 3d acceleration. Well, it works for most people.

For Yodas Stories, copy the contents of the disc over and install the last patch. Download wavemix180.zip and replace "wavmix32.dll" and "wavmix.ini". Create a saves folder and put Yoda in Windows 95 compatibility mode and tick all the extra boxes except 256 colours. Works on Windows 8 too! Just make sure your running it in 640 x 480 as its a tiny fixed resolution.

Star Wars Force Commander and Rebel Assault. I threw them out :(

If console games count there are a few I shouldn't have given up, such as Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn - not only pretty rare now (and expensive) but even more rare when you consider Sega lost the source code so there will never be a remake (at least not likely to be one).

Now just hope the floppies still work.

But then, gog arrived.

None, I've never sold any of my games. And I still own my old 386SX floppy drive and it is in working condition. Too bad my old floppy disks no longer work since they have already rusted (they weren't made for my tropical country environment).

You know it actually make me feel better to know that someone else is enjoying the game at least. You going to play as a "Replicant sympathiser" or are you just gonna blow all the skinjobs away?

I'm not sure if the DRM-free part really matters for the question. It rather limits game losses down to a very narrow group. I think over 20 years or so of game buying GOG games are the only really DRM-free ones I've come across, and I can't really lose or sell them.

Outside of that....

I had a friend somehow talk me into trading my Dreamcast version of SNK's Mark of the Wolves. I don't know how he talked me into it, but I regretted it until my Xbox360 version.

I loaned my PC copy of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo to another friend along with a martial arts movie called Drive. He then got arrested and I never saw him, or my stuff again.

I had floppy drive datashread my Decent 1 diskettes. I have GOG copies now, but that was way uncool.

For a year I lost all my retail CD games from about a 10+ year period. I found them during a move, but was ill over it when I thought they were gone forever. BG 1 & 2, Torment, UT2004, Arcanum , Morrowind, Fallout 1&2, MOO 1-3 are some of what I thought I lost. Most I have rebought here preferring to not have 5-disk installs.

Why does it have to be drm free?

Many thanks for the tips my good man, I greatly appreciate them. I'll give the JK games a go later after I find some alternative installers, and for Yoda Stories I'll have to dig through my discs and find where my copy of it is. I hope to high hope that I still have it, I friggin loved that game.

Hmm, I'm not quiet sure, I usually play quiet the bastard. Maybe I'll give a "Replicant sympathizer" a go. If you are interested in getting a new copy eBay has quiet a few rather cheap. Mine were originally from South East Asia that I had got as a gift from my folks for my birthday. They were to replace the ones my ex-roommate made off with when he moved out. It was either him or his GF at the time, though she wasn't much of a PC gamer (more of a console gamer) so I doubt it was her.
