So I'm browsing GamersGate catalog and see Drakensang for only 2.5 Euros, same for the expansion Phileason's Secret.

Wanted to buy the whole series, but I don't see The River of Time anywhere.
Is it maybe region restricted? If it is, still makes no sense to sell the expansion without the base game.

Have enough blue coins to cover the cost of River of Time then use a proxy and buy the expansion with Blue Coins. This way you don't risk your credit card.

The expansion is for River of Time, just so you know. As for the original game, it's on GG twice by two different publishers. Not sure what the price is like now but during the sale one was cheaper than the other.

I've emailed GG about the expansion and it doesn't work with retail copies either.

It's a problem that a lot of European devs are faced with. The only publishers that will take them seriously are small time and for whatever reason can't even sell internationally over the internet. Don't ask me why. It makes no sense when indies manage it just fine when they're trading out of their basement.

I know the devs went under because they failed to put their product on the market and that ValuSoft bought the rights on the games.

Even now, they are failing hard at selling their investment.

Here in Spain we have the entire saga (Drakensang, River of Time and Phileasson's Secret) at retail stores by a local publisher.

Still, I don't understand why RoT and his expansion is not available on digital stores.

To be honest i want to buy all 3 in digital form but since river of time is a no go right now (im in a region where its not available) no goer :/

Just thought I'd chime in here. I helped Petrell with this problem months ago, it wasn't available where he was at either. I just bought it on Gamers Gate and sent him it as a gift and he gave me some Zork in exchange. If you can find someone from the USA that would be willing to trade you, you can get it that way. I believe you could even send them blue coins and they could then buy it with that. So you may have some options. I am going to be busy here and won't be on the internet much for awhile, otherwise I would make myself available. I'm sure though someone will be around that can help you. Good luck guys. :)

The game saw a very small release in some parts of Europe, outside of Germany. I've managed to import a copy of River of Time to Sweden, from the UK, but it was a royal pain in the rear to find anyone who could ship it here. It would seem like there were some kind of export restrictions on it (illegal?), which prohibited online stores to ship it to other parts of Europe. I was within inches of pirating the game before I finally found a store willing to sell it to me. Te first Drakensang was great, and the second one I had heard should be even better (and believe me, it is! They fix almost all of the issues that the original had).

Oh, and amazon.co.uk has it up for sale.

I was really wondering that myself.. How in the hell there can sell an expansion to a game which isn't even available. Well, I got my drakensangs, all of them and river of time was through a virtual friend.. A nice word ain't it.. =P

Strange. I tried looking for Drakensang on both .com. and .uk using a VPN (tried both a uk and us ip), and i cant see river of time on either site???. I see US Steam store has all 3.
Wasnt there a bundle sale of all 3 at one point? (dunno if Steam,GG or somewhere else?)
