hi guys,i have a question about xp,i saw on youtube some videos walktrough where somone play in the fade at circle tower and got from killing same enemies like me for example same mage killed by me he got on his videos 37xp other got 42 xp, in my game i got for the same kill 36 xp,my question is why all of us get different xp ?the enemies xp is scaled by the lvl you are?ofcourse i saw all of us where different lvl when played that part of the game,maybe i got 36 xp because i saw i was higher lvl then those in the video walktrough,how exaclty the xp works?i cheked at the begining of the game when you kill your first enemy and in my game was the same 27 xp like i cheked in some videos,so when we all was lvl 1 got same xp,can explain pls ?this thing bother me i mean if i do the elves part before the dwarfs part i will get more xp in elves part then dwarf?and if i do the dwarfs part first and then the elfs i will get more xp at dwarfs but then less at elves because i am higher lvl?

the enemies are scaled to your level, but only the first time you enter an area. so you will probably get a different amount of xp per enemy depending on your level.

so this means if i enter at lvl 10 all 4 areas of main quests the enemies therr will allways remain lvl 10?because is the first time i entered?a moob lvl 10 will give less xp then a moob lvl 20,should not scale at my lvl when i curentlly faced them and not when i unlocked the areea first time?i am worried because in this game every xp count to try reach lvl 20 or higher until the end even disarming the traps count

Yes, if you first enter the areas at low level, then the enemies will be at lower level even if you come back later and your character is higher level. There is a range of enemy levels though, and some area won't spawn enemies of lower than a set level. I don't know the exact specifics of it though. Don't worry, you can get enough XP to get to level 22 or 23, and there's a way to max it if you really feel you need to (although it's a bit of an exploit).

No.
i reached level 24 in one of my playthroughs so it should not be very hard to reach 20. dont worrry about the scaling, the xp gain should even out over the span of the game.
There's still no excuse for level-scaling at all IMHO. The entire point of leveling is to become stronger. If everyone else levels up with you, what's the point? Level-scaling seems to be focused on loot for the risk/reward. But if you're still dealing the same damage with new weapons and taking the same damage with new armor because all the other enemies leveled up with you and are using better gear as well...can someone explain why this is becoming MORE popular rather than less so? I don't remember Neverwinter Nights 2 having level scaling. Or Mass Effect. Or, hell, Final Fantasy, for that matter. A good RPG rewards time and hard work with a powerful character. Keep boss fights hard, but make thug fights easier. It shows how your character has GROWN.

It removes the cheese factor and requires you to actually know your class rather than have just grinded out the levels.

Enemies scale within certain limits. Yes when you reach a new area, that's when a Mob's level is spawned.... similarly they have caps on their level range. Some mobs have a very restrictive level cap, others have a minor cap differential to your player level (like player level -3). Important encounters have a minimum level range too.

Early in DAO's life cycle (some have been patched since to be more forgiving) there where a few headache causing encounters that ticked off a lot of players because they weren't so forgiving when it came to level scaling. Notably the band of bounty hunters outside Orzammar, the optional dragon in the throne room, and the random encounters with guards in the streets of Denerim with their mad archery skillz (you could get chain stunned to death).

I think they've even nerfed the tougher undead dudes you summon with the vials in a patch too.

Level scaling encourages freedom of exploration, granted it needs limits to promote difficult areas that you work towards reaching, but it has its benefits too in allowing you to construct a games narrative more fluidly by encouraging alternate routes be taken.
Some form of level scaling is ok. This way you have a choice as to where to go first on your quest. Go to Orzammar first? Sure, no problem. Go to Redcliffe and handle that part first? Ok. You end up doing it all anyway but it's less linear this way. As long as it's not over the top, as in Oblivion, then I don't have a problem with some sort of level scaling.
what i don t understad in DAO is this scaling affects xp gained from monsters?i mean if i unlocked some areeas at low lvls those monstores will give less xp then if i unlocked at higher lvls?logical is a higher lvl mob will give more xp then a lower lvl mob,and if it does so then i lost a lot of xp from some areeas i unlocked earlier like denerim and redcliffe
oh,and about the stupid scaling from unique itemes,you can t go to a place where you find a good sword or armor early because it will be tier 2 or 3 instead of tier 7 at the end of game wich make that item uslles then,i know about selling the itemes to mikael in wardens keep dlc and buy it back upgraded,but that means you spend more money wich you can donate to redcliffe suply and get xp instead,and not all unique itemes can be upgraded by selling and buy it,so here you go with freedom to go where you want,you want good tier things?wait until later lol,and is so stupid this thing with selling an item and buy it back,they could had make an craftsman who can upgrade your weapson if ask him and gold,then buy and sell
