Elmofongo: I understand what you are offering me, but I just find it easier to just buy the Ultimate Edition on Origin and write down the Email/password on paper.
No worries. I agree with your sentiment about having game/DLC purchases tied to an account that can easily be lost or info forgotten, but it sticks in my craw to pay again for something I've already bought.

Coelocanth: It shouldn't be tied to your password. It's tied to the e-mail address you use for your BSN/EA account when you bought the game/DLC. Did you try logging onto the BSN and checking your account there for the presence of the DLC? And are you sure you're using the correct e-mail address? If you can get the DLC installed and still have issues validating it, there's a way to edit one of your game files to have the DLC register as valid. I can't recall exactly how right now, but if you search the BSN or google it, you should be able to find it.

Can you log in Origin? BSN (and therefore the DLC) uses your origin email and password. Can't you use them?
Loved DA:O but haven't played DA2 so I don't know much about *my* Hawke yet. I'm hoping that BioWare does take into account my Witch Hunt playthrough with Morrigan.

Alistair to me was king but only because he married Anora. I figured that would make for the best future of Ferelden.
Snap, I guess to fix up DA2 i need to have a save of DA1 somewhere.

Elmofongo: Well next time I reinstall that game, I write down the fuckin password :P
Don't. Use a trusted password manager instead, much more reliable. You only need to remember two passwords, one for the manager and one for your e-mail in case you get one with an account but since you seem to dislike accounts I would advise for a local one like KeePass.

Speaking of which, if you buy DAO UE on Steam do you still need it to activate and use it on Origin? I hate it when they ask you to use multiple accounts and after the disaster with uPlay and Steam for Splinter Cell Conviction I'm not touching another two-account game again.

I do have it on Steam but I didn't play the game on Steam. I activated on Origin and played it there...

They have The Ultimate Edition on Steam? Did not know that when I bought the game on steam the first time they did not have the UE. But like you I think its best just buying the game from EA themselves in the thier Origin Store thus only handling 1 account.

Origin is not needed to run DAO ultimate on steam. It just needs steam. But in order to verify the DLC you have to log in your account once ingame.

Ah, but that's okay. Good to know.
