for the most part I completely Agree, although I do like the idea of the Wheel. I know top is helpy mc helperton, middle is Captain Professional and bottom will murder you.
with Hawke However it felt more 'i'll help you and trust you Mr stranger, i'll help you but i'm a snarky bitch, fuck you! of course i'll help you!but fuck you piss me off'
I agree with the level designs, but I think random dungeons would be too much of a disconnect, i think the mines esspecially needed more caved in walls and new tunnels as the game progressed.
Bioware had every right to ignore the fans, because the fans were missing the point for the most part, most of the things they wanted were completely at odds with the philosophy of widening the audience. I wasn't going to buy DA2, they started talking about how they were going to make it more accessible, that became a pre-order. I think we both saw different parts of the community then, because most of what I read was hate fuelled irrational thinking.
And I completely agree with the story. I think the unimportance of Hawke was intentional, but it didn't feel right. and to the story's merit, it had two moments that really made me stop and think, just because of the nature of an unreliable narrator, the introduction to the Dwarf's (I can't remember his name it was that forgettable) companion mission, and any conversation he and Isabella seemingly had.
